A/N : Hey, JUAD here. I am SO sorry for not writing anything for like, a long time. Just been really busy. I'm leaving for Australia tomorrow for an exchange programme. Really excited! The inspiration for this story came from a Tumblr picture. It's really short, I wrote it in about 10 minutes. But I hope you like it. :D
Enjoy.
SWEET CONFESSIONS {contestshipping} -one-shot
Drew Hayden and May Maple were in an ice cream parlour, eating ice cream. A plain vanilla cone for Drew, and a banana split for his companion. It was quiet, both teens just enjoying each other's company.
Of course, May couldn't really stay quiet for a long period of time. Drew glanced at her as she fidgeted in her seat, then he smirked. Time to play a little game with Little Miss May Maple.
"Hey May, if I punched you, what would you do?" He asked her, and his smirk grew more pronounced as May's blue eyes widened at his question.
"Drew, did you get a brain freeze or something?" She asked, concerned. The green-haired lad shook his head, and looked at May expectantly. May gave him a quizzical look before answering his question.
"Urm, I would punch you too." She said, and Drew chuckled.
"What would you do if I slapped you?" He asked her.
"I would slap you back." May replied, her hesitation gone. She smiled at him, glad that he had bothered to start a conversation with her.
"What would you do if I kicked you?" Drew asked her again.
"I would kick you too." She replied.
"What would you do if I told you I like you?" He asked.
"I would tell you I like you too." May stated confidently.
Then she gasped. Drew chuckled as he watched May's face turn red in a matter of seconds.
"What I mean is... Wait no... I mean... Urgh." Frustrated, she hid her face in her hands. Drew smiled fondly at the brunette.
"Hey May... Did you mean what you said?" He asked, sounding like a five-year-old asking his mummy to read him a story. He silently scolded himself for sounding too eager.
May's head popped from her hiding place, her blush still present on her pretty face. "Urr, well..." She noticed how Drew was gazing at her, a look in his emerald eyes she'd never since before. "Yeah."
Drew broke into a wide smile. "Well, looks like we both like each other."
May smiled too. "What a coincidence."
Drew shook his head. "There is no such thing as coincidence, only necessities. And I think it's necessary to celebrate this with the Giant Napoleon Ice Cream Special."
May laughed, glad that there was no awkwardness between them after their not-so-planned confession.
"Yeah, that would be perfect."
A/N: There! Was it good? Could be better? Let me know in your reviews. Please.
