A/N This has been edited slightly. Enjoy. Someone told me that Corin and Lucy are eight years apart, but what do they know? C.S. Lewis never mentions their ages. For the sake of argument, I've decided that Corin was 13 during the Horse and His Boy, and Lucy was 18. This takes place three-ish years later… Gads, I love this pairing. Plus! This is book-verse, so if anyone leaves a review about Lucy having brown hair, I'll knock you down and so will Corin.

My twin and the Lady from Calormene.

It's a riot, the way those two look at one another. Cor is an idiot when it comes to anything 'girl', and Aravis is just too proud to admit that she's completely taken with my brother. There's no hope for them.

Lucy is here. Queen Lucy, I should say. As we walk about the courtyard together, she tells me that I must not be a 'perfect beast' about Cor and his feelings, for 'love can't be helped' or some other nonsense. Girls are rather silly when it comes to love and the like.

But perhaps Lucy could be right. She is rather smart, after all. She's brave, too. She's always riding into battle with the men, and she can even hold her own. A sword fits her hands better than the needle-work that all the other ladies of the court are so wrapped up with. But Lucy doesn't pay any mind to all of that rot. And I like her for it.

She turns to me and she smiles.

"I fear you'll never find love, Corin. So busy with your fights and mischief."

As she says this, the corners of her mouth turn upwards into a perfectly charming grin. I never noticed before the lovely dimple on her cheek when she smiles. Or the way her beautiful green eyes sparkle when she laughs. Or the way her golden hair cascades down her back in perfect ringlets.

She's smiling at me and for once in my sixteen years, I've no idea what to say. And quite suddenly, I've come to realize what it means to be an idiot when it comes to anything 'girl'…

… When it comes to anything Lucy.

A/N Awww. R/R, please. Also, there's a follow-up full-length fic to this'n here. "Everything Lucy", which I'm really REALLY going to start updating, I promise!
