Killian always gets a little bit wistful when they walk beside the ocean, and Emma knows that he's thinking about his past. It's no different today, as they walk side by side, hands clasped and fingers interlaced.
"Do you ever wish you hadn't traded her?"
Killian smiles over at her. He doesn't have to answer, because the softness in his eyes tell her what she's worth to him. He looks back out to the sea and says, "There was a time not long ago when I would kill anyone who thought they could take her from me. Many a pirate felt the stab of my sword."
Emma bumps her shoulder against his arm and reminds him, "I stole your ship once."
She has his full attention now. He grabs her up, pulling her against him, and lowering his face to hers until she can feel the words on her skin as he speaks.
"And stab you, I shall."
He makes her knees weak, this man, and she adores him for it. "Bring it, pirate!"
And when they get back to his room, he does.
