Freak Out
*humanized, also, this fic is inspired by a post somewhere on my Facebook page x3*
…
It was morning, around 7:45am to be exact, in Porto Corsa, Italy. It was a few days after the race- well.., was it even a race at that point? Since most racers never officially crossed the finish line.
There was a huge crash, which involved most of the racers. Max, Raoul, Carla, Shu, Nigel, Miguel, and Rip, to be exact. But, by some miracle, they were all barely hurt. Just a few scrapes and cuts here and there.
Nevertheless, Sir Miles Axelrod allowed all the racers to relax for a few days, before the last race in London.
Which is exactly what they were doing.
Raoul ÇaRoule, who was roommate of Max Schnell for this race, was already awake, and had all the racers over for some breakfast. They were all quietly talking since Max was still asleep on the couch.
But that didn't last long as they all heard rustling.
All the friends turned their heads to see Max, still asleep, moving around frantically. So frantically, in fact, that Max fell off the couch.
Quickly, all the racers ran over, and then Nigel and Raoul helped a frantic looking, now awake, but clearly confused Max out of his blankets.
"Max 'a?" Francesco asked. "Are you 'a alright?"
Breathing heavily, Max suddenly yelled:
"But I don't know how to speak French!" In English.
Max's outburst made everyone jump back, with theirs eyes wide, unsure of how to react.
After a few moments, Max calmed down to realize what he said.
Then he facepalmed, and groaned. "I'm German…"
Someone then cleared their throat, and it made Max look up.
It was Raoul, and he had his arms crossed, and a smirk on his face. Max blushed in embarrassment, and grinned sheepishly.
"Excusez moi" Raoul said, placing a hand over his chest. "But I am ze only French one in this competition." He said, and leaned down a bit more to Max. "And I'd like to keep it that way." He smiled.
"Yes, I know," Max said, getting up, gathering all his blankets, and folding them. "I just woke up very confused.
Lightning laughed. "We could tell" the American racer said, which made everyone grin.
