I suppose I ought to thank you. Taking me across the stars the way you did…so willingly, and so…valiantly. Always had a good eye for adventure, didn't you? Eh? Never took me somewhere boring; you were as keen as I was to save the universe. Multiple universes, actually. Protected the people I cared about too, even if they made you jealous.

I know there's a selfish streak in you – there's one in us all. Part of the reason you flew off with me was self-preservation. But if I ever needed you, there you'd be. Prepared to self-destruct for the sake of saving my life.

Did you ever tell Rose how much I meant to you when she looked into your heart? I know I must be pretty special, and that's not in the slightest bit egotistical, actually, because we have a bond! Like an old married couple, you and me. I've had other lives, other loves, but you've always been the companion that's stuck around.

Right til the end, in fact. And I'm glad we saw it to be that way. That's the only way I'd have it.

Sexy. You certainly were when I first heard you speak. And you've always been simply beautiful. Never seen a TARDIS quite as spectacular, in or out. You are, simply put, fantastic. And I know that one day you will mark the grave of both our existences, but when you do, what a bold, beautiful mark you will leave behind. What a TARDIS.

My old police box. And most of all, a brave, blue, bigger-on-the-inside friend.

That's not something this Time Lord will forget.
