She felt him leave the bed and opened her eyes just in time to watch his naked ass walk out into the bathroom. She smiled at the sight, thinking back on the hot night they had spent together. Just two strangers meeting in a bar, ending up in his hotel room for some mindblowing sex. She had no regrets. She already knew before going up there it would just be for one night and she was fine with that.
She heard the water start and she figured she might as well get out of there. There was no reason for small talk or a farewell. They were still strangers, only knowing each other's names and bodies. Her body screamed for a mocha latte so better get out of there sooner rather than later.
She got out of bed and found her clothes spread out on the floor. She quickly got back into it. She took a look in the mirror and combed her fingers through her hair to straighten it out a bit before putting it up in a ponytail. She got into her boots and was just about to leave when his phone started ringing from the nightstand. She knew she shouldn't but something inside her told her to go answer it.
"Seth's phone," she said as she answered.
"Who's this?" A female voice asked on the other end.
"Caroline. Who's this?" She answered.
"I'm his girlfriend," the other woman answered.
"Fuck!" Caroline said out loud.
She sat back down on the bed and reached up to touch her forehead. She could hear the other woman still breathing but she wasn't ripping her a new one as expected.
"I'm so sorry. I had no idea he had a girlfriend. We just met at a bar last night and he told me he was single and since he wasn't wearing a ring, I took him up on his word," she explained.
"I believe you," the other woman sighed. "I suspected for a while he's been cheating on me with random girls. Just haven't been able to catch him until now. In some weird way I feel like I owe you a thank you."
Caroline couldn't help but smile at those words.
"I can't believe I actually travelled here to surprise him," the other woman continued.
"You're here?" Caroline asked.
"Downstairs in the lobby," the other woman answered.
"You wanna come up here?" Caroline started smirking.
"Actually, no. How about we go out for breakfast?" The other woman suddenly offered.
"Sure. I'll pay though. I feel like I owe you that much," Caroline answered.
"Hand him the phone before you leave. I'll tell him some few truths before you get down here," the other woman said.
Caroline walked out in the bathroom just as Seth turned off the water. He looked at her with a grin as he reached for a towel.
"You want a second round?" He asked and licked his lips.
"No thanks, I prefer men. Not boys," she answered and handed him his phone. "It's your ex."
