Bullets filled the air, as Clark ran to cover. " ," yelled "Get out of here! will lay down cover fire!" nodded to the bearded man. Clark ran low, but fast, towards the bleeding out young woman. grabbed his arms, pleading him to save her.
"I will, Flora, just let go." Clark put her arm around his shoulder.
"Dove, cover me!" The Sargent yelled over his shoulder. Flora winced at the loud voice, but Clark didn't care.
"Aye!" He responded.
As the two were running, Flora limping, but trying to run as fast as she can, there was a puff of dust and a loud echoing bang.
"Sniper, you two!" shouted.
"Be careful-" blood spattered from his head, as he fell to the ground.
Clark saw it all. It was the worst thing that he has ever seen. But he didn't stop moving. Flora's desert MARPAT was stained with blood.
"Clive!" He called.
Clive was staring at Layton's dead body, dumbfounded. Clark's yell alerted him, and he snapped back to reality. Clive started to shoot the enemy with his rifle, but they were outnumbered.
A machine gun on a truck ripped through Clive without mercy. Clark was running out of time. Clive was the medic! He had to save Flora. Soon, a RPG screeched as it ripped through the air, and hit the side of the building that they were in.
Everything was going to shit. Clark was unconscious for a moment, but thinking about Flora woke him up.
"Flora! Are you okay? Talk to me!" No response.
He leaned into her chest, checking for at least a bump of her heart. Silence. He checked for pulse. Stillness.
"Dammit!" Clark shouted. He remembered that had the last working walkie talkie. But he was in the middle of the action, and he couldn't risk it. Another screech of a RPG missile. Soon, the hole wall crumbled down. Clark was vulnerable. There was dust and debris everywhere, but he was seen. Stunned, Clark tried to scramble up, but he then met the same fate as the Clive.
Clark was a bloody mess. He was done for.
