Link remembers that like it was yesterday. And felt like a complete idiot for saying " I dunno ". For the love of the Spirits, the princess, it was THE Princess Zelda I was talking to. I had to say something better than that. She probably doesn't want an idiot visiting her. But wait, I can't be an idiot if I saved everyone from the Demon King! Right? Right! No idiot can do that!But I still feel like an idiot. Ugh…

Link groaned. He was visiting the princess today. Well, it was a surprise visit. Link wanted to see her. They haven't seen each other since the defeat of the Demon King. It's been 2 weeks, and 2 weeks has been like years to this hero. His soft, blond hair was swishing this way and that. He was, of course, riding his train. He just couldn't give up being an engineer. He had work hard for it, and Alfonzo wasn't the most patient mentor. Besides, taking passengers and transporting cargo gave him a bunch of opportunities to see the friends he made during his journey. Link stopped at the station slowly, hopped off as usual, and started walking towards the castle.

Ok, stay calm, Zelda's your friend remember? I can approach her. I can talk to her.

Link entered the castle, greeted Teacher and climbed up the stairs to Zelda's room.

Link nervously knocked on the bedroom door. " COME IN! " Zelda said cheerfully, she turned around as Link entered the room. " LINK! " Zelda ran to give him a hug. Link's face went red as Zelda embraced him. " It's so good to see you! " she chirped.

" It's good to see you too."

"Hey Link, look! I put the Spirit Flute in a glass case!" she pointed to it.

" Wow Zelda, it looks great. I -"

" Oh! And I didn't even tell you the changes I made! "

" Zelda, I -"

" I fixed the economy, the education system, the pluming, oh and some other -"

Link knew Zelda wasn't going to stop anytime soon, and he couldn't wait any longer. He grabbed Zelda and kissed her. The kiss was a gentle one, and seemed to last forever. Then, Link let go of her slowly. Zelda was obviously was surprised.

" Link…"

" Im sorry, I guess you don't want an idiot kissing you. "

Zelda snuggled up against his chest.

" Your not an idiot, you're my hero"

And pulled him in for another kiss.
