It was 9 PM. The fog was thick and the atmosphere was tense as the two gangs faced each other. Fudomine against Yamabuki. All was silent. Jin Akutsu (Who had quit the gang some time ago, but was itching for a fight so he showed up anyway) was the first to dare to break the silence. "This is a waste of my time. Why did I agree to help fight these weaklings?" That almost started the rumble, but the leader of Fudomine, Kippei Tachibana coolly reminded him that they had to wait for their referee.

Finally, they could see him in the distance, running fast. He stopped between the two gangs and managed between gasps of air: "Sorry I'm late! It's hard for me to sneak out after 8:30, desu!" The two gangs let him catch his breath. Once he had, he stood a little to the side so that he was still close, but not in the middle any more. "Alright! I want a clean fight, desu! No blades, guns, pipes, or broken glass bottles! Just skin, desu! Starters! Take your positions!"

The right-hand man of each leader stepped forward. From Fudomine, Akira Kamio and from Yamabuki, "Lucky" Kiyosumi Sengoku. "This should be easy," Sengoku said with a smirk. The hot-headed Akira shouted, "HEY! I kicked your ass last time! I can do it again!"

"Kamio, calm down," Ishida said from the side, but it was no use.

"No way! I'm in the rhythm, now!"

The referee, Taichi Dan, cleared his throat and raised his hand. "Ready! Set! GO, desu!" The starters were were about to throw the punch to start it all, but a different gang, Seigaku, ran up and beat everyone up except Taichi.

Poor little Taichi ran to Akutsu's side after everyone had been knocked out cold. He looked up at the leader of Seigaku. "Why? Why did you do this, desu?" He asked with pleading, watery eyes. The cool, quiet leader just shrugged. One of the other gang members, Takeshi Momoshiro, was the one to answer the question. "We love to fight. We love to fight."

"Especially when we start the trouble." Said the boy with the scary face, Kaoru Kaidou, Viper of the gang world.

Taichi watched Seigaku walk away into the darkness.
