Disclaimer: Joss Whedon and his affiliates own Willow and Tara, I just like to write.
Author's Note: This is a very short drabble-thing. I hope you like it and will review. Thanks to Julia, my wonderful beta. Please review...down on my knees I beg of you, take pity on my wretched soul.

-Failure-

Her eyes were once a vibrant blue, now they are dull and clouded with gray. I used to look into them and see a safe haven, today I only see my own reflection staring dimly back at me. My love's voluptuous curves have faded away to leave her horridly thin, a distorted shape in comparison. Her blonde hair has darkened, almost the color of night nowadays.

She smiles at me, a ghostly mockery of what she used to do – what she used to be. It is hollow, there are no feelings attached to it. Internally, I shudder at what she is.

Looking at her, I can barely see the beauty that used to be near-overpowering. I shouldn't have done this, she was supposed to be at peace.

I laugh aloud at my own stupidity. I know I've failed.
