Reborn went around the base to patrol as guard at a certain point of the day. Surprised he was though, to see a familiar looking child, mopping at the corner of the base.
"Nello, what happened?" The hitman asked the little child as he cautiously approached him.
"oh, uncle reborn, it's you… you see…. "
FLASHBACK
Just the day before, a certain teacher of a certain class gave a seatwork to draw the things they love. And this, certain blonde haired child drew a picture of his mom, his dad and himself enclosed in a big red heart. Wishing to write a word on top, this blonde boy approached the teacher to ask him the spelling of the precise word.
"teacher, how do you spell_" but he was cut off by his teacher ordering him to get back to his seat. The boy didn't mind it at all. He'll just ask his parents later, yes, later.
Nello immediately ran to his mother carrying a pencil and of course, his drawing. Who was his mom? No other than the well known commander Lal Mirch. Yes, you heard right, Lal Mirch.
"Mom, how do you spell_" Though he was once again cut off, this time by her mom busying herself with a few C.E.D.E.F. papers. Instead, she told the boy to play outside and not to disturb her with her paperwork. Again ,Nello didn't mind. He'll just ask his dad later. Yes, once again, later.
The boy's dad arrived home a few hours later, to be approached by his son, almost immediately. Preparing to write the letters, he asked his dad.
"Dad, how do you spell_" for the third time, he was cut off. This time by his dad, Colonello.
"Nello, can't you see that daddy's busy right now?" Colonello told the boy, patting his blonde hair with a few navy blue streaks, before heading to his room.
Nello stomped back to his room. Out of frustration, he tore his drawing apart and threw the pieces outside the window.

"so uncle reborn, how do you spell…. LOVE?"Nello stared at the hitman with his baby blue eyes.
Controlling the boy's hand on a piece of paper, Reborn helped the boy shape a few letters.
"now Nello, remember, love is spelled C.O.L.O.L.A.L"

AN: glad its over… anyway, story adapted from a book so I guess fanfic is only 20% mine. I'll write an original one next time… I hope.
