"Love is all you need!" Sadie and Prudence continued to echo each other. Jude looked around and saw Max was staring at something his mouth slightly open. Jude followed his blonde friend's gaze and his heart stopped. Standing on the roof of the building across from him was Lucy Carrigan.
Their eyes locked and water quickly filled the Brit's eyes, sending his girlfriend a watery smile. Lucy brushed a strand of blonde hair out of her own misty eyes and continued to stare at him lovingly as the band continued to play.
Then suddenly, out of nowhere, a pair of hands collided with Lucy's back. She let out a terrible gasp as if the wind was being knocked out of her, and toppled off the roof. The singing seized and the music stopped playing as if a record was scratched. And everyone listened to the sound of Lucy's horrified screams and cries for help.
"HOLY SHIT! I'M FALLING TO MY DEATH! AHHHHH, SOMEONE HELP! PLEASE, HE—" SPLAT!
Jude gasped and looked at the girl who pushed Lucy. The girl looked no older than fourteen and had long brown hair that cascaded in soft curls. Her chocolate brown eyes were narrowed in slits, staring down at the disemboweled body of Lucy. She shook her head and looked at Jude. Her eyes sparkled as she snapped her fingers. "Cue the music!"
Completely ignoring the fact that their friend was shoved off a building and was now dead or severely injured, JoJo strummed his guitar and Sadie and Prudence belted out the final lines of the song. The girl stared at Jude with almost as love as Lucy did. Jude smiled warmly and returned the gaze. She's so much prettier than Lucy…
"Eh, she was annoying anyway." Max shrugged, glancing at his sister.
"Love is all you neeeeeeeeeeeeed!"

Well... I was watching Across The Universe, and as usual, I got the goosebumps at this scene. It is soooo uber sweet and moving and touching, but I couldn't help but be jealous of Lucy. So...this is what my twisted mind came up with. I love Evan Rachel Wood and her character, but I love Jim Strugess and Jude more!
