I woke up to the sound of laughter. Vicious laughter. the kind that made your skin crawl. My eyes snapped open and I reached to grab a hammer from my toolbelt. As my eyes reajusted I saw the dark siluette of Piper.
"Piper?" I hissed. "what are you doing in here? Do you want Hedge to skin us alive?!"
"Oh Leo I dont't think you'll have to worry about that pansy for quite some time." she said chuckling deviously.
It was then then that I began to take in her appearence. Her dagger Katopris was shining crimson in her hand, her body and clothes splattered in blood. She also had Items that belonged to the other demigods on the ship. She had Franks firewood, Hazels cavalry sword, Percys pen, Jasons coin, and Annabeths Yankies cap. And strung around her neck was a single satre's horn.
"P-Piper..." I said raising my hands, "look you dont know whats going on, but I'm sure you could work things out with your old buddy Leo.
"She laughed, "You can't joke your way out of this one Valdez," she said, her voice dripping with venom. "I'm simply making sacrifices to my mother. You see, Calypso loves you and yet you didn't stay with her. All of you scum on this ship haven't taken love seriously enough so in retribution I'll give my mother your hearts. Personally. Don't worry I'll make it quick, because after all this is simply an act of love."
Piper smiled and lunged. Leo Valdez was no more. He had one last prayer 'Dear Gods take care of Calypso.
