Greece found himself out on a dock overlooking the blue waters of Aegean Sea. He needed to try and catch himself a bit of dinner. The summer sun was warm and just over head. His pants were rolled up to his knees, the ever present T-shirt was laid beside his shoes to his left. The bait he was using to his right side. Japan was coming over for a visit and he wish nothing more than to get something to cook. Something edible. Sighing, he looked down into the water, nothing was even jumping in this area. It was becoming a lost cause. He wondered when high tide was, the water level seemed a bit low. Maybe it would bring in more of a catch?
It was a game of waiting, and Heracles was good at such things. In fact he was almost too patient at times. He thought back to his long time relationship with a certain Asian nation. Kiku Honda was so reserved when they met, it took forever to realize everything about his personality. It took even longer to realize that he had fallen head over heels for Japan. His culture ran deep, his ideals were sound and intellectual, and his love of arts was only matched by Heracles' own.
The Greek quirked a smile. He was lost in deep thought about the guest that would soon grace his presence. He did not hear the footsteps coming towards him, or the geta clacking along the wooden walkway. His thoughts were broken when he heard the most familiar of voices.
"What is Greece-san doing? May I join?"
"Ah…Hello, Japan-san. I was not expecting you until a bit later." Heracles glanced up to see Japan leaning over him. He could also read into everything the Asian was thinking. He had to ease those fears before they were spoken. "It's not a problem, though. I just wanted to catch dinner. I would love it if you would join me?"
He watched Japan physically relax in relief. Greece knew that the other never wanted to put a burden on anyone, and he was often hesitant to do anything that would offend anyone. In Heracles' eyes, it was one of the most beautiful things about him. "I'm waiting for high tide, it might help."
"I agree, Greece-san."
"All right, we might be here a while…do you mind taking the pole?" Kiku nodded and Greece handed the pole to the other's capable hands. He leaned onto Japan's shoulder. "If anything, I will take you to get a gyro…"
"I would not mind that."
"Good, thank you."
"You're welcome, Heracles-san." A hand reached for Japan's and gripped. Even if they did not catch a single fish, it would not have mattered. The two nations were enjoying each other's company, and that's all that mattered.
