It was fact; I had never really liked jewelry until I saw a yellow topaz. I was only seven when I saw it. I guess my mom had known of my fascination with yellow topazes and for my eighth birthday bought me a yellow topaz that was shaped like a heart. I was very pleased and I thanked her profusely.
At age nine I got my Eevee from my dad. I named her Siren. My ninth birthday was the last time I saw, or heard from, my dad until I was thirteen. I had gotten the news from Professor Krane. My dad had died during one of their research explorations near the mountainous Mt. Battle.
It still hurts to talk about him. Every time he comes up, the pain comes back like a stab wound in my heart.
A year after his death, I was saving the world from a resurrected Cipher. I won't bore you with the details. Lets just say that I purified the Pokémon and I now have a Lugia on my team. Huh? You want to know what my team consists of? I don't think I should tell right now. You could be a Cipher member. I don't doubt that Ardos could resurrect Cipher again.
A day after Cipher's defeat, I dug out my topaz. For some odd reason, whenever I look at a yellow topaz it just calms me. It calms me like when I look out over the water. It's weird how both water and a yellow topaz can just give me that sense of calm.
It was a week after our victory that my mom wanted to show me the first two people who had defeated Cipher. She had somehow gotten pictures of them. I decided to look.
The first one was a girl with red hair and sparkling blue eyes. Her name was Rui and she had the ability to see the auras of Shadow Pokémon. From her personality description, I had to say that Rui was naïve.
The other one was a boy with sandy colored hair, striking yellow, almost cat-like eyes and white face paint across the bridge of his nose. His name was Wes, former Team Snagem member, hero of the first Shadow Incident. I had to admit he was really good looking.
His eyes reminded me of yellow topazes.

Another short one, but it's probably longer than the first one. O.o Right, age explanations. Ok, I'm saying that Ryuuto is either fourteen or fifteen during Gale of Darkness. In Colosseum, I'm saying that Wes is seven years older than Ryuuto. Does that clear things up? O.o;
