The Field of Stars
Summary: Naruto and Kakashi reminisce about the old days in the Field of Stars.

Naruto's P.O.V
I was at one of my favorite places in Konoha.
Hatake no Hoshi. The Field of Stars.
It was near the Hatake Compound which is why Kakashi-senpai usually comes with me.
Today is one of those days.
"Ne, Kakashi don't you remember the old days?"
He nodded.
"Everything was so simple back then. You're only 16, right? You've changed so much from the snot-nosed brat you used to be."
"I was so stupid back then…"
Suddenly, a comet streaked across the night sky.
'I hope for a better future.'
"What did you wish for?"
"You know that I can't tell you."
'He always was a secretive bastard.'
I smiled wryly.
We looked at the night sky.
The moon was shining and the stars were out.
There were so many stars. They had different colors and sizes, but all of them were beautiful.
"Hm… Don't you think they are watching over us?" I asked the Gin Ookami, the infamous cross-dresser of ANBU.
The ANBU Commander thought a bit.
"Yes."
"I think so, too."

Note: This is one of the random fics that my mind came up with… This is the same universe as CitN (Contemplations in the Night). *sigh* I don't think it's as good as its predecessor…
Also, make a note that Kakashi is a cross-dresser in this universe. He is the ANBU Commander: Codename Gin Ookami and Inu (This is Kakashi's second identity. It is so that Danzo think that he is in a position of power.)
In this universe, the ANBU commander's identity is to remain a secret (even the Hokage can't know). If the ANBU commander got the position during the time of a previous Hokage's reign, then only that Hokage knows who that person is. This is also true for the ANBU Deputy commander. It is for security reasons….
Naruto is the ANBU deputy commander. He was recuited during Danzo's reign. This is why Danzo knows his identity.
ANBU can recruit members without the Hokage's consent in this verse. (Don't know why I included this piece of information.)
