"And though she be but little, she is fierce."

Ginny stands as tall as she can, with her red hair blowing around her face like a live flame. Her eyes are narrowed, and her hands were on her hips, in a very unconscious imitation of her mother. (Harry knows she'll never admit she's anything like her mum, even if she is).

"James Sirius Potter, you get your a- bum over here right now!" The five-year-old skidded to a halt, shirtless in the backyard of their cottage and clutching a toy broomstick. He turns to his father, who's standing in the distance, whom even after years of marriage is still quite afraid of Ginny's (or any Weasleys' for that matter) wrath.

"What did you do to your poor brother?" Ginny looked so furious, James' lip started to quiver.

"Nothing, mummy! I didn't do nothing!"

"Why, then, was Albus crying just a few moments ago?"

"Lil did it! I didn't do nothing!" The five-year-old insisted. Harry, watching from a distance and preferring not to get involved, knew his son inherited his stubborness from his mother. Even if all clues were pointing to him, he'd never give in and say he did it.

Ginny, sensing that too, huffed and glared a little more at her son. "Get inside, and for the love of Merlin, put a shirt on. We'll have a talk later." James deposited his toy broomstick quickly and ran inside, face red and eyes shiny.

"Do you know what he did to Albus?" Ginny asked, turning to Harry. Her tone wasn't harsh, but instead tired. Ginny tried to stifle a yawn but didn't succeed.

"Not in the slightest. No permanent damage, though, right?" said Harry hopefully. His wife leaned against him, closing her eyes briefly. It was serene, just the two of them standing in the backyard together with Albus and James in their seperate rooms inside.

"Nope. James will be James, I suppose. Stubborn."

"That's why we love them, though," said Harry, a twinkle in his eyes. His wife looked up at him.

"That we do," said Ginny.
