Percy and Annabeth Reunite
By Jocelyn Curley
Annabeth walked into Camp Jupiter with confidence. Reyna, the camp leader, has wanted to meet with her, but Annabeth refused. She needs to find Percy. He has been missing for months and she's not going to waste any more time without him.
Annabeth felt bear without her knife, but the Romans wouldn't let the Greeks in with weapons. She knew if she had to, she could fight without her knife, but it was easier to use her knife.
She looked all around for the Neptune cabin. Annabeth knew he could be there, since Percy was the son of Poseidon. The Romans probably assumed he was a son of Neptune at first, so they would have put him here.
Finally, she found the cabin. Annabeth took a deep breath and walked in.
There he stood, her lost boyfriend, her lost hero. His back was towards her. He probably hadn't heard her walk in. He stared at the wall, deep in thought. Annabeth wanted to cry and run into his arms, but she wanted to see how long he would be oblivious to her standing here.
Annabeth let out a heavy sigh. Percy turned around. For a moment, they looked into eachother's eyes and just stood there, neither one saying anything. Finally, Annabeth broke the silence, "Seaweed Brain, where have you been?"
Then she ran to him. He picked her up and swung her around. Annabeth started crying. The last few months of pain and longing came rushing to her. She remembered every night she spent crying, waiting for him to come back. She remembered the day she tried to think of a world where Percy wasn't in her life.
As Percy held her in his arms, she finally let go of all the pain. They were together again, and nothing else mattered. Annabeth felt him kissing her head and whispering things like, "It's okay", "I'm here now", and "I'm never leaving you again". He whispered them over and over again.
She couldn't believe she found him. She couldn't believe he was here. Annabeth spent so long thinking she could never find him again.
After she was done crying, Annabeth looked up into his beautiful sea green eyes.
She said, "Now let's go save Olympus. Again."
Then she laughed and he laughed with her. They ran out of the cabin hand-in-hand. Annabeth was happy again.
