Song lyrics

'Thinking'

"Talking"

"Singing"

Hold it together.
Birds of a feather.
Nothing but lies and crooked wings.
I have the answer.
Spreading the cancer.
You are the faith inside me.
No, Don't, leave me to die here.
Help me survive here, alone.
Don't Remember!
Remember!

Hidan lay in the middle of his Jashin sacrifice area (A/N: I don't know what he calls it, but it's that upside-down triangle in a circle thing that he sacrifices shtuff in), holding back his emotions.

'Kakuzu…' he thought, staring at the door and waiting for Kakuzu to come in like he usually did.

He didn't.

Hidan felt the pain spreading like cancer. But it wasn't his usual pain from the pike sticking out of his chest, it was a different pain…..

Put me to sleep, Evil Angel.
Open your wings, Evil Angel.

'I want to fall into an eternal sleep…' he though, getting up and pulling the pike out and standing.

"Hidan," said Kakuzu's voice.

The zealot glanced up and saw him standing there. His angel from Hell.

I'm a believer.
Nothing could be worse.
All these imaginary friends.
Hiding betrayal.
Driving the nail.

Hoping to find a savior.
No, don't, leave me to die here.
Help me survive here, alone.
Don't Surrender!
Surrender!

" 'Kuzu," Hidan muttered, walking to Kakuzu. "What?"

Nothing could be worse than the imaginary friend that Kakuzu was becoming. He was always cold and distant now. Hidan struggled to hide the betrayal of his emotions. He felt that Kakuzu was slowly driving a rusty nail into his heart.

"Nevermind," said Kakuzu, walking away.

As he disappeared among the shadows in Hidan's sacrifice chamber, Hidan fell to his knees, fighting back tears.

'No, don't leave me to die here,' he thought. 'Help me survive here. I'm alone….'

Put me to sleep, Evil Angel.
Open your wings, Evil Angel. (oohh)
Fly over me, Evil Angel.
Why can't I breathe, Evil Angel?

The next day, Hidan felt worse. He turned on his side in bed and stared at Kakuzu's sleeping form in the next bed.

"Kakuzu," he whispered.

"Yes?" came the reply Hidan hadn't been expecting.

Hidan gulped as Kakuzu's eyes opened.

"What is it, Hidan?"

Hidan stayed quiet.

"Dammit, Hidan, what do you want?" growled Kakuzu, glaring at him.

"You don't love me anymore," Hidan whispered.

Kakuzu's eyes widened in disbelief.

"What are you talking about?"

"Why can't I breathe, Evil Angel?" asked Hidan, staring at Kakuzu.

Kakuzu looked confused at the new name.

"You're my evil angel from Hell," said Hidan, getting up and going over to Kakuzu's bed and snuggling up to the money-loving Nuke-nin.

"Hidan, you're high, aren't you?" asked Kakuzu.

"For once, I'm not, dammit," hissed Hidan. "I love you and you refuse to see it."

"I DO see it," said Kakuzu. "I just don't know how to act back."

"Try this every once in a while," said Hidan, grabbing the back of Kakuzu's head, tangling his hand in the black hair and kissing him.

When they pulled apart, Hidan sang the chorus to 'Evil Angel'.

"Put me to sleep, Evil Angel.
Open your wings, Evil Angel.
Fly over me, Evil Angel.
Why can't I breathe, Evil Angel?"
