I know that this is horribly late *hangs head in shame* but this story is dedicated to DancingRaindrops for her birthday. This is definitely not one of my better written stories, but I have been horribly busy this week, and this is the best that I was able to write.
Danci, you are truly one of my best friends here on FanFiction. And you are certainly one of the most talented writers on here. I love reading your stories and our late night chats :) I have very much enjoyed getting to know you over the past few months. I hope that we shall be friends for many more months to come :) I hope that you will accept my poorly written story as a late birthday present :)
Disclaimer: I don't own Sonny with a Chance
Please enjoy my story (I hope you like it Danci!)
"Happy birfday, Chaddy!" Six-year-old Sonny plopped a slightly wrinkled picture on her best friend's desk. He glared up at her,
"Quiet, Sonny. I don't want everbody to know it. And don't call me Chaddy."
"Soooooorrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyy." She drew out the word and grinned at him. "It's just not everyday that my bestest friend in the whole wide world has a birfday. Plus, now you are as old as me again!"
"Do you have to say that? I shoulda been older. I'm the boy."
"So? I'm the girl." Chad just shrugged his shoulders and picked up the picture. He glanced at it for a moment, then turned to look at his best friend,
"A tunderstorm? Why a tunderstorm, Sonny? "
"Cause sometimes you are kinda grumpy, Chad. I thought you would like a tunderstorm." She shrugged, "An' I didn't think that you woulda liked a picture of a cat or a flower."
"Oh, ok. Well, thank you for the picture, Sonny."
"I'm glad that you like it, Chaddy."
"Don't call me Chaddy." He stared at the picture for a moment. "Those raindrops look kinda weird, Sonny. Why are they in swirls all over?"
"They are dancing, Chad! Haven't you ever seen dancing raindrops? They are my favoritist things to draw. An' I like to make my raindrops colors cause then they are pretty. Don't you like my pretty picture?" Her eyes filled up with tears.
"Uh, yeah, yeah, I like it, Sonny." He reached out and awkwardly patted her on the shoulder. "I promise to take good care of the picture, Sonny." She grinned widely at him,
"Yay! You make me happy, Chaddy. Oh! I forgot your other present. I'd better hurry afore teacher gets here. Close your eyes, Chaddy."
He dutifully closed his eyes and held out his hands, expecting a wrapped present. Instead, Sonny carefully slipped out of her desk and tiptoed back to Chad's desk. She leaned over and placed a quick kiss on his cheek, then whispered in his ear,
"I love you, Chaddy!"
And there it is! Again, Happy (belated) Birthday, Danci!
