Title: Troublemakers

Summary: Greg and Sara play gags on Ecklie.

Disclaimer: I'd have a better computer if I owned any of this!

Sara was having a normal day. 'Was being the key word.' She mused. She had been working diligently on her recent case when he had disrupted her.

Greg Sanders.

She shook her head in amusement. Thank god there was only one Greg, Sara didn't think the world could handle two.

Smiling to herself, she thought back to what had happened earlier that shift.

Flashback

She was sitting in the layout room, going over the evidence from a double homicide, when Greg came hurrying in. He sat down opposite her and started helping her tag and log anything that wasn't already done.

Just as she was about to ask him why he was being so quiet, Ecklie came storming in. He slammed an object down on the table.

"What the hell is this Sanders?" He bellowed.

Greg looked up at him before glancing down at what he had put on the table.

"It looks like a whoopie cushion, sir." Greg stated before going back to work.

"And do you have any idea how it ended up on my office chair before my meeting with the sheriff?"

"No sir, I've been here for the past three hours."

Sara watched the conversation, noticing that the corners of Greg's mouth were twitching, trying to contain a smile.

"Sidle!" Ecklie turned his focus on her. "Is what Sanders' saying true?"

"No sir." She saw Ecklie's look turn triumphant and Greg's face fall in defeat. "I'd say he's been here for at least the past three hours and twenty minutes."

Sara bit her lip to keep from laughing as both men's expressions reversed.

Ecklie picked up the offending item, throwing it in the trash can on his way out.

Greg and Sara remained silent for the next few seconds before dissolving into hysterical laughter.

"A whoopie cushion Greg?" She said, wiping tears of mirth from her cheeks.

"Why not? It's a classic!" He winked at her before exiting, making his way to the A/V lab.

"Did you get it?" Greg asked Archie eagerly.

Archie handed him his cell phone, playing the video of Ecklie sitting down on the whoopie cushion with the sheriff in the room.

Greg showed it to Sara, who had followed him out of curiousity. Seeing the look on Ecklie's face caused another fit of laughter from the brunette.

"Okay, I admit it was a pretty good gag." She put an arm around Greg's shoulders. "Anyways, my place tonight? Dinner, a movie and..." Sara leaned in, whispering in his ear.

Archie raised an eyebrow as Greg's ears turned red. Sara waved to Archie as she went back to her evidence. The lab tech kept staring at Greg.

"What?" Greg said, not meeting his eyes.

End flashback

Sara closed her locker and walked past Ecklie's office on her way out. Forcing herself not to grin widely as Ecklie glared at her, she kept going. After all she was meeting Greg in a couple of hours, she didn't want Ecklie to make her do another shift.

Besides, Ecklie would never suspect she was the one who'd super-glued everything on his desk to it.
