Always Be Together
(It was sunset when Van and Hitomi reached the top of the hills of their old home in the woods. They had walked together for a few hours now, looking down at the city and admiring at how beautiful it looked from their view. Van's brother Folkein is gone, and Dilandau went to another city with his companions. They had talked and laughed of their amazing journey and for the first time in her life, Hitomi didn't feel sadness and thought low of herself.)
Hitomi: "Thank you Van."
(He looks at her confused)
Van: "For what Hitomi?"
(She looks at him, smiles then turns back to watch the sun set on Gaea.)
Hitomi: "For bringing me here, for giving the time of my life...and for supporting me always."
(He looks at her and smiled, stepping closer.)
Hitomi: "Van, how long can I stay here?"
Van: "Until the Mystic Moon calls you back, but until then..."
(She softly gasps as he wraps his arms around her but she does the same.)
Van: (Finishing the sentence) "I'll always be with you Hitomi."
(She blushes but rests her head on his chest and sighs happily as he rubs her back affectionately.)
Hitomi: "We'll always be together."
(He brings her face up to his and takes a quiet deep breath.)
Van: "I love you Hitomi."
Hitomi: "Van..." (He shushes her and puts a finger to her lips, then gently puts his lips to hers. She moans as he rubs her back and licks her lips, but gasps and his tongue enters her mouth...and she does the same.)
(Their lips part as hear the song to call Hitomi back home.)
Hitomi: "I love you Van, but I don't want to leave you."
Van: (Smiles sadly with hurt in his eyes and embraces her again.) "I know, but we'll see each other again...I promise."
Hitomi: "How Van?"
(He holds out the necklace that holds the Escaflowne and she takes it.)
Van: "Come anytime you want to see us, you'll always be welcome here."
(Their wings come and they fly to the top, but he stops half way, still holding her hand.)
Hitomi: "I'll come back, I promise. I love you Van."
Van : (Smiles and his hand slowly slips away) "I love you Hitomi, we'll always be together."
(They let go and she flies away into the coming night, and he flies back to his home.)
Merle: "Is Hitomi gone Van?"
Van: (Nods sadly, but smiles at her) "She'll come back though, don't worry Merle."
Merle: (Cocks her head) "But how, the Mystic Moon doesn't come back for another hundred years."
Van: (Smiles and puts a hand on her shoulder) "I think she'll back before you know it, because after all... (Looks to the fading Mystic Moon) we promised we'd always be together.
