Leaving
That's what you are.
I don't know how I know,
But I do.
Fading slowly,
But surely.
Such a strong front,
You wear.
All are oblivious to you
Slipping away,
But me.
Our father,
Never here.
My brother,
Silly hanyou,
Totally clueless to
The one he loves most,
The only one he trusts,
Is leaving him-
No.
Abandoning him.
I never knew you well.
And now I never shall.
But
If you had more time....
No.
And yet still,
Why do you hide your weakness
From those who care most?
Is it to protect
Your beloved child?
Or for your own
Reassurance?
Is weakness
Shown,
Weakness
Felt?
Leaving
In your wake
Nothing more than
the broken heart
of your only son.
He is young
And already alone.
He needs you,
You who he trusts,
You who gave him his heavy burden
Of being different.
You need to walk him through
Life.
Until he understands.
You.
The only one who loves him,
For who he truly is,
For who he is inside,
And yet-
As your responsibility calls,
You leave.
With no warning.
With out a trace,
Slowly running,
To where your son
Cant follow.
And so-
You gave him
life
A power
A weakness
Then leave him to die
All alone.
Leaving
Forever
Leaving the one who needs you most,
In the warm embrace,
Of no one.
To grow up,
Reminded each day
That he's different,
Alone,
With no one to teach him
That different isn't bad.
No one to tell him he is
Loved.
That he belongs.
No one.
Are you really such a coward?
To hide behind such false happiness?
I still notice.
Day by day
You weaken.
Slowly,
Leaving.
Leaving us all.
You've started on your path away from here,
So continue,
And don't look back.
Leave.
I cant honestly say I cared.
Or ever shall.
But I can tell you this much.
With you gone,
Something will be missing.
Missing,
From us all.
