Goodbye
Fandom: Lord of the Rings
Author: Fuji S. Yuki
Summary:
Now the story of LOTR ended we will now view how Frodo feels at the
end of it all.
Away. He was leaving those that he had traveled, eaten, laugh, cried, and suffered with. Now he was traveling away with the last of the Elves composed of Lady Galadriel dwells in the forest haven of Lothlórien, Elrond the master of the Elf-haven Rivendell, and Celeborn husband and King of Lothlórien as well as his Uncle Bilbo of the Shire and Gandalf the white. This last boat would sail to the Immortal Lands to the west, where the last of the three elf rings would join with the rest of Elf-kind.
The Shire was saved he had finished his duty as the ring bearer and now everything was finished. His time like the Elves were finished. There was nothing else for him in MiddleEarth. His friends were settled down Aragorn with his Queen Arwen. Merry and Pippen were stable and content with their lives and titles.
As for him while at the Shire he spent four years writing away in Bilbo's book on the tale of The Lord of the Rings. It took him four years, but he had finished it, just in time for the journey. He in turn left Bilbo's and his tale in the safekeepings of Samwise his beloved friend.
As for his beloved friend Sam, he had married to his love interest Rosie, Frodo knew that Sam had always felt attracted to Rosie, even as they thought their last minutes of life, Sam was thinking about her and that she would have been the one for him. It pained Frodo so much to see his friend grieve about the have-nots.
It was surprising that Gandalf had rescued them in the end, it did not take long by their return to the Shire that Sam had went and proposed and married Rosie. Now four years later Sam his friend and comrade in arms had two beautiful Hobbit children.
Frodo knew that Sam and the others fitted in MiddleEarth in the Shire. They belonged in that world he on the other hand did not. The pain from the wound he received on his Journey ached but where he travels, too refuge would be given to his tattered soul.
That was what Gandalf informed him that the Immoral Land would help the wounded recover from their illness.
His time on Middle Earth was over just as Gandalf said, so now he takes his leave to find the place that he would belong too. A place where he could settle down and belong. Yes, he Frodo felt the burden lessen when he stepped upon the boat.
The pain in his chest lightens and he felt happy, his business was complete. The tales of Great Individuals and the Fellowship of the Ring would go down in history. As a lesson of love, bravery, and the never ending battle for hope through Friendship.
Owari.
