Olivia heard the worst words a mother could hear that day. . Her little girl was dying. There was one way she could possibly save her and even that option was taken when she wasn't a match for the procedure, there was only one option left. She had to get in contact with Ella's father. She shut her eyes tightly and breathed deeply before pressing that dial button. Within minutes Elliot answered.
"Hello?" he asked, obviously not recognising her new number.
"El.. it's me Liv - don't hang up. Just listen. Our little girl needs you. I need you and I promise I'll explain everything when you get here just please hurry. It's urgent. Meet me at the diner we used to go to for lunch at three" she hung up before he had time to answer. This was something she had to do. She got ready and had to leave Ella alone in the hospital which she hated but this was for her sale. If Olivia had her way, Elliot would never know anything, things didn't exactly go to plan.
He sat across from her at their old table and it was silent for a long time until she said. "Our one night stand...just before you left...well we didn't use protection and now I have this amazing little girl that I love more than anything but...she's dying. She doesn't have enough white blood cells to fight off infections, the flu could kill her. She's already very sick. I'm not a match for the procedure, I need you to do it" she blurted out all at once. Elliot's eyes widened, this was a lot for him to take in.
"You got pregnant...why didn't you tell me?"
"Don't you think I've tried? Why do you think I was calling you so much. You know what, forget this. You don't even care. All you care about it yourself" she got up to leave but he gently grabbed her hand.
"I'll do it. She's my daughter...I wouldn't just let her die...you know that. You know I would've been in her life if I had known" he said softly. .
"Yeah well you didn't know. I mean how could you? You spent your whole time trying to avoid me" she snapped back, she only sat back down because Ella needed this. She handed him her phone, so he could scroll through pictures. Ella had light brown hair and deep blue eyes, she had so many of both their features. A lot of pictures were taken from the hospital, Ella was born sick but Olivia never expected them to really say the words, not until it was finally happening and even then she didn't accept it. She wouldn't. She had to blink back tears as she thought about it, he was her last hope.
The first chapter is short but I hope you enjoy it. Please review and give opinions, please no negativity just constructive criticism :)
