May there always be work for your hands to do.
Kiba peeked out from underneath the car, grease staining his tanned cheeks and he grinned and said to Shino, "Why is it that every time you bang up a car all to hell, you bring said banged up car to me?"
Shino didn't answer, not that Kiba expected him to, but when Kiba disappeared underneath the car yet again, the bespectacled boy smiled.
May your purse always hold a coin or two
Sakura hefted the shopping bags into the car, Ino digging through her purse for the keys. Instead, she found a good handful of change and asked, "Do you want the change? I hate having so many jangly things in my purse."
Sakura just nodded exasperated. Ino was probably the only person she had ever met who didn't want spare change lying around.
May the sun always shine on your windowpane
Kakashi buried his head in his pillow when he heard the familiar approaching footsteps. He really didn't want to deal with this today. The jounin heard the door unlock before slamming into the wall behind it and he sighed. That doorframe had gone through far too many replacements than was strictly necessary.
"Good afternoon, my Eternal Rival!"
Afternoon? How long did I sleep? Kakashi wondered, and then another train of thought struck him, Why did Gai allow him to sleep this late? Usually Gai would wake him no later than ten in the morning, saying that the day was far too beautiful to waste.
His thoughts were interrupted by the familiar feeling of having the warm blankets thrown to the floor and the sunlight from the newly opened window nearly blinding the one eye he dared to crack open.
Then again, if Gai didn't wake me up, I wouldn't be able to enjoy lunch with Iruka.
Kakashi forced himself out of bed, half smiling at Gai who grinned back, nearly blinding him for the second time in ten minutes.
May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain
Sasuke looked up at the sky, the cold water pelting
him. His dark hair clung to his pale cheeks and his clothes stuck to his thin body. It always calmed him, sitting out here, no matter how many times Naruto had told him not to. Despite the calming effect, there was a certain sadness accompanying it, although Sasuke didn't quite know where it came from.
A sudden stop of the rain and the obscurity of the sky made him break out of his trance-like state to focus on the orange and navy umbrella above him, before switching his attention to the blonde holding said umbrella.
Naruto raised his eyebrows at Sasuke's drenched form and offered a hand to help his best friend up. Sasuke accepted the hand and pulled himself to his feet, shaking his head a little to rid himself of excess water, wetting Naruto in the process.
The whiskered boy glared mildly at him before saying, "No hot chocolate for you."
May the hand of a friend always be near you
Tenten's head disappeared under the river water once more, before she broke the surface, laughing. Her sepia hair was coming undone from her buns and was curling into her beaming face.
Lee, also laughing, offered a hand to help her out of the river again, where she had fallen during training and was now unable to get out of the slippery riverbank. This time, Tenten actually got his bandaged hand and was hauled out, muddy and soaking.
May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.
