Natsuki had always hated Thursday mornings. The phone clicked softly as she pinned it with her steely jade eyes as if daring it to start beeping. She then blinked heavily a few times, as if trying to swat away the sleep that still lingered in the corner of her eyes. Natsuki hated the damn birds and the their damn singing, but what she hated even more was that the couldn't find where the mayo was hidden so that she could properly enjoy her breakfast toast. But what Natsuki found instead of mayo was some alternative vegetable butter spread. Wincing, she thought that for today she would forgo the topping and have her toast plain, much as she hated it so.

How come that insatiable pit Mikoto gets anything to eat that she wants from Mai, but instead I get put on a mayo restricting diet? She thought to herself crossly. Shizuru probably threw out all my precious bottles when I was out.

Cross with herself at this revelation, she didn't turn when she heard the soft scuffle of bare feet, instead pretending to be completely engrossed in the daily crossword puzzle and munching rather loudly on her mayoless toast. But she wasn't prepared for when a pair of slim arms wrapped themselves around her waist. She felt, as much as the the humming of the vibrato and the hot rush of air as it tickled her ear.

"I love you", it said softly.

A kiss was placed to the inside of her ear and Natsuki turned around in her chair to face her attacker. Instead she found herself staring into the impossible depths of Shizuru's eyes. It looked as if Shizuru was going to say something more, but with a wolfish grin, Natsuki grabbed hold of the front of Shizuru's pajamas and brought them towards her, causing their lips to crash and meld together effectively silencing her.

As the kiss started to get more intense and Natsuki's frigidity visibly started to melt, she had one final fleeting thought.

This might even be better than mayo.
