(401): I have a txt file I don't remember making open on my desktop. All it says is "what it's like to be a bat"
"Guys this isn't funny," Wally whined, trying to stop the raucous laughter between Dick and Artemis. They didn't even have the decency to look even slightly ashamed. And it wasn't easing Wallys nerves that they kept sending conspiratorial glances at each other. Even with Dick wearing his sunshades Wally could tell.
Artemis stopped laughing for a few seconds to choke out, "Wait, you really don't remember anything?"
"No!" Wally practically wailed. "I don't even remember going home."
A sly look slid onto Artemis's face, accompanied by a side-eyed little look at Dick. "Ohhhh," she dragged the word out in a way that made his stomach flop. "So you wouldn't happen to remember anything about confessing that you want to be a bat? Or that you think it would be -and I quote- 'so freakin' awesome to be Batman, maybe even Manbat,' would you?"
Wally made a slight noise like a failed word in his throat. He sent a look at Dick, practically begging him to tell him what happened. "Rob, buddy, old pal, friend of mine-" he began, "-you'll tell me right?"
Dick just shrugged in an overly dramatic style, one of his large smiles he always got when pulling a prank showing up. "Nope," he replied, popping the p. "I can't tell what I don't know," and Wally was eighty percent sure he was lying.
Artemis stifled another laugh, and shot a look at Dick, and that was it Wally was definitely sure they knew what was going on or had organized it.
In a last ditch attempt he offered one word accompanied by his best Bambi-eyes, "Please?"
The answer was quickly and disturbingly synchronized, "NO."
Basically the idea behind this is just a bunch of short one-shots based directly off texts from the TFLN database. They'll bounce between season one and two at random, plus I plan to use as many of the characters as possible throughout this. It should be fun-probably a little confusing-and full of the team acting like the teenagers they are. Pairings will most likely stick to canon but if they don't I'll list them at the top of the chapter they show up in. Hope you enjoy!
