Light's Legacy


I flick of the lights,
And sit in the dark.
The light shins on,
Through my heart.

I can sense its glow
Wrapped all around me
I look around and ask,
"Why is it that I can see?"

Light's Legacy
The waltz of lightning and thunder.
Does that flow within me?
I wonder?

Rain crashes on the door
I push it open and walk out
Thunder roars menacingly,
Without a doubt.

The lightning follows.
I count the seconds.
So close……
To me it beckons.
