THE MIND DOES WANDER.

Part 1: Cassandra.

Cassie awoke to her baby brother Reuben crying for attention, however much Cass loved and cared for little Reuben, she also loved her dreams. Her dreams full of clouds and rainbows and green grassy fields... and Sid. Sid appeared in all of Cassie's dreams, whether she was flying, eating, dancing or singing... he was just... there. Cassie loved Sid. Cassie loved Sid so much that she would do anything… even eat, just to be with him.

Now, as for Sid... Sid Loved Cassie. But Sid fancied Michelle. Although, Sid Also fancied Cassie (He just didn't know it yet.) He NEVER loved Michelle. No matter what he thought. Tony loved Michelle. Michelle loved Tony. Michelle and Sid fucked a few times... but there was never love. Never true love.

Cassie walked quietly into Reuben's room, being careful not to wake her parents in the next room. She picked him up lovingly and kissed him gently on the cheek.
"Shh... Shh... Hello Mister. Now, why are you crying? Come on, Shh..." Reuben slowly calmed down, sniffing occasionally. "Good boy Reub. Let Cass get back to her dreams. And you too."

Cassie lowered Reuben into his cot and silently walked out of his room, dodging squeaky toys on the floor and made it back to her own room. She climbed back into bed hoping she would dream again of the fields and flowers and mountains and rainbows... and Sid.

She opened her eyes to a bright sun, blazing across those same grassy hills she always dreamt of, the snow that never seems to melt on top of the tall, tall mountains she watches in her sleep and that same, geeky, long haired Sid, that she loves.

"Sidney" She called out in her sweet voice, "Come here!" Sid walked over to dreaming Cassie and kissed tenderly her on her lips. "Hello Cass." He said. Cassie replied, "Wow Sidney, you look so lovely. And I love you. Lots and lots and lots. Did you know that? And you love me too don't you? You don't love Michelle, you never loved her. Tony loved her because Michelle is amazing. She's amazing and I love her. Of course I love her. But you don't. You can't. It's illegal. It's officially illegal for all the lovely Sidney Jenkins over the world to love all the pretty little Michelle Richardson's' everywhere. And it's compulsory for all the Sid Jenkins to love all the Cassie Ainsworths. Isn't that amazing!"

"You know Cass, your a crazy bitch. But you're right. I love you. And I've forgotten about Michelle." Sid said happily. "That's good Sid. Now, I have to go because I'm going to wake up and see you in the real world. And I still love you there. And you love me there. We're in love. Okay? Somehow I wish that the real you could hear. But you can't. That's the fucking problem." Cassie replied eagerly but awkwardly. Nearing the end of the sentence she could feel her voice cracking and her eyes stinging.

She woke again, this time in the real world. Real Cassie, real skies, real bed, real everything.
She picked up her phone that was laying on her bedside table and wrote a text to Sid saying,

"I saw you in my dreams Sidney. Everything was perfect. Thank you for loving me when everyone else didn't. I love you. Cass xxx"

Cassie wiped the tear that had trickled down the side of her face and pressed the button that said 'send' and off the message went.

Sid's ringtone woke him up. He picked up his phone from under his pillow and saw on the screen '1 received message' he pressed read.
Cassie's message popped up. He read the heartfelt message and said to himself,
"I love you too Cass."

A.N: I know it was a bit of a pointless storyline and a bit well... Rubbish... But it's my first skins fan-fic and I wasn't too sure what to write about so... Constructive criticism? Lol. Thanks for reading xxx
