AN: For some reason my mind doesn't like to think in whole sentences to piece together a decent one-shot. So a poem sort of drabble thing about Rachel's inner turmoil sprang about after watching The Dark Knight. I loved the film and i'm going to watch it on IMAX next Sunday! Anyhow, I hope you guys enjoy it and drop me a review. I'd appreciate it!

Disclaimer: Obviously, I don't own Batman or anything remotely related to it except this piece of work. If I did..well..I don't know..haha. I don't own it so I don't have to worry about it.

Crossroad
by: Chaotic Resolve

His tender words can't pierce her soul
Hardly raze the skin his lips roam
She wants them to
She needs them to
She wants to crave his words
His touch
His everything to light a fire within her
Scorch away the remnant of him
Him and his burning gaze
A gaze that sends volts of electricity through her veins
Telling her everything and nothing
That "in time..soon..one day"
In time...
"We don't have eternity to wait."

She wants to believe in 'the day'
Yet she can't cling to what she can't grasp
So intangible are the words of the past
Yesterday keeps running through her head
When here and her's is today
She's about to boil over
Her mind spins as she ponders
She gets nowhere
Only weaving circles 'round her head --
"One word and i'm running back to you."
"I need your tender touch I really wanna say, i really do."
She's at a crossroad
She knows she has to choose
