An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.
A tooth for a tooth makes an empty mouth.
An arm for an arm quickly disarms.
And a life for a life—
revenge—
slays all.
This game, one thinks,
Of sweet revenge
Innocent as a pink-furred kitten.
It's not. For—
He wanted her love
Instead she gave him revenge
This girl could write a super-cheesy
Bad romance.
We all play this game
This perilous game
The game of "sweet revenge."
The whole world round it goes like this:
You pull out my eye
Then I'll pull out yours
Until there are no more eyes.
You knock off my block, I'll
knock yours off too
Across the planet those heads,
decapitated, will roll.
Your light saber cuts my arm off
So then, I'll use mine to slice yours off too
Until there are millions of light sabers
useless, in piles, for galaxy-wide
There are no more arms to use them.
An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.
A tooth for a tooth makes an empty mouth.
An arm for an arm quickly disarms.
And a life for a life—
Revenge—
Slays all. For—
There were once these two guys
(aliens from Mars)
They came to Earth and then
they fought a duel.
'Twas the challenger, in love
with a cute girl from Earth,
versus the defender,
a cruel, icy, cold-hearted
authority figure.
But why did those Martians fly to Earth?
For revenge on the ones
who allegedly sentenced them to
a hard life on Mars.
The challenger battled
to show his revenge
On the Earth girl who gave him
naught of her love
(she was the girl who could write
a super-cheesy, bad romance).
The defender fought
To pay back the one
Who broke his rules
for an Earthling's affection.
They didn't wish to be friends
But wished for revenge
On each other and Earthlings the same.
The malicious defender
Intended to kill
On top of a desire for settling of scores.
(though the contender simply wanted his
"sweet revenge")
And so, of course, one ended up dead.
An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.
A tooth for a tooth makes an empty mouth.
An arm for an arm quickly disarms.
And a life for a life—
Revenge—
Slays all.
