"This is an exact replica of the sword Cloud used to defeat Sephiroth with, " the tour guide said. I've been to the AVALANCHE exhibit in Kalm at least 20 times. "Hey Annie, want to go check out the new materia?" Daniel asked nervously. "No thanks. Maybe another day," I replied. I walked out of the exhibit and into the streets. I then went back to thinking of Cloud, Aeris, and the rest of AVALANCHE, and how great it must have been to be legends. I always wanted to meet Cloud even if it was just for a moment.
"What are you thinking about?" the mysterious man inquired. He was about 5'10" with unusual hair. It was blonde and stood up in gravity defying spikes. His eyes were blue, but they had an eerie green glow. They showed pain and torment but also a sense of trust.
I replied, "About the legend of Cloud and AVALANCHE." "Oh, I don't think I have ever heard about that one. Could you tell it to me?" the strange man requested. I thought that it was odd that someone didn't know about the heroes who saved the planet over thirty years ago. I told him about Aeris, Cloud, and the rest of AVALANCHE and how they saved the world form Sephiroth and the threat of METEOUR. He seemed to sadden when I mentioned Aeris's death, but I thought nothing of it.
"Well, that's quite a tale. Thank you for telling me about it. I have one more question, could you tell me where I can find a flower shop?" he replied. "Right next to the CLOUD#9 bar.
So who's the lucky lady," I said to the man. "For a friend I owe my life to. Well I always wanted to be more than friends, but she was taken from me before I got to tell how i truly felt," he replied while forcing back tears. "What was her name?" I asked him regretting I did. "I called her my angel," he sad happily. Confused by the answer, I replied, "Oh so her name was Angel." "Let me give you some advice that I had to learn the hard way. Don't wait unitl it's too late to tell someone how you feel," he said with sadness in his eyes.
I said thanks and he walked towards the flower shop. As he was walking away, I noticed he had an enourmous sword strapped to his back. The blade was enourmous which meant only someone with great power could wield that weapon. The handle was exremely ornate showing that is a one of a kind. A little while later I saw the man leave town with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. He handed me a note and said, "Don't open this until I leave." I nodded and read the note after he left.
Dear Anne,
Before you ask how I know your name, I overheard you talking to your friend. He seemed nice. I want to thank you for talking to me. Her name was not Angel it was Aeris Gainsborough. She was my angel sent from above. I loved her, and I will love her for the rest of eternity. One last thing I have to say is don't ever forget my advice.
Sincerely,
Cloud Strife
After I finished reading it, a single pink flower fell from the note. "Hey Anne, want to go get something to eat?" Daniel questioned excitedly. "Sure, I'll be there in a minute," I replied and palced the note in my pocket. I promised myself that i would follow Cloud's advice.
