I want to quickly say a few things before you start reading this: First of all...for the people that actually read my stuff, I'm sorry I've not been updating just school but now it's SUMMER! Also I am no longer continuing The Assassin because I have lost interest in it and can't find any inspiration. I am sorry for the people that did enjoy it though xx
Antonio POV
Decker was gone. He was really, really gone. I couldn't believe it, Jayden would no longer plagued by his contestant teasing of him and Jayden being alike. It was over for Decker. Pretty sad if you think about it from Deckers point of view, I mean he just wanted to be released from his curse. I wish I could have helped him but some people are just beyond saving. Wait...did I just hear...a whimper? I turned around and saw Nicole on her knees, crying softly. I then realised that it may have been good that Decker was gone for Jayden's sake but for Nicole...Decker was her father. Her father! We had literally found out about Deckers death minutes ago over the samuraiser. I was so selfish I hadn't put a single thought into how Nicole was taking this. It must have been so hard, knowing your friend has to duel your father.
I walked over to Nicole and kneeled beside her. I placed a hand on her shaking shoulder and she looked at me. I had never seen her look so...fragile, defeated, vulnerable or to sum it up sad. Nicole's eyes were glassy and her face was tear-stained. She was slaking violently and her breaths were heavy and uneven. I put my arm around her and squeezed, whispering comforting words hoping that they would calm her down. Nicole glanced up at me with glazed eyes before throwing herself into my unsuspecting arms. She buried her head in my chest and sobbed, breathing deeply in an attempt to clam down. I wrapped my arms around her tightly and resting my head on her own. My heart flared in sympathy, I stroked her hair softly and her sobs became quieter. Nicole breaths were no longer shaky and the crying had stopped, she just lay in my arms. Her head still buried in my chest.
"In your arms" Nicole mumbled "I feel safe"
"Why in mine?" I whispered
"Something about you...just makes me feel protected" She replied quietly
"Whether your in my arms or not, I will always protect you" I vowed
She looked up at me, her eyes shimmering with un-fallen tears.
"Thank you" Nicole whispered gratefully
"No problem" I smiled
Nicole smiled back before wrapping her pale arms around me fully and squeezed slightly. I didn't just say 'Whether your in my arms or not, I will always protect you' just to make her feel better and to stop her crying for good. I meant it, I vowed to. I will protect Nicole no matter what the costs.
