The wound that will never heal.

A fan fiction by Aoi Kitsukawa.

Summary: After a few months Diva has killed and Saya finally went into her 30 years hibernation period, Joel Goldschmidt the Sixth flashed back the incident that made him paralyzed… and gave him a wound that would never heal forever…

Joel Goldschmidt the Sixth stared at the window of his office, looking at the beautiful sunset. He wondered how long he would live in this world as he touched his feet and stroked them slowly.

7 years ago, Diva and one of her Chevaliers- Karl Fei-Ong destroyed his organization-Red Shield. Only two of them, they destroyed the ship alone…

And gave him two injuries that would never heal forever…

Firstly, the Chevalier attacked them with his large thorns, and one of the attacks hit him successfully. It stabbed through his body; from his back waist to the lower abdomen of his body.

He immediately fainted after he felt a deadly pain that suddenly came to his body. All he could remember was he tried to avoid the attack but failed. In the end, he woke up in a hospital at London, and the doctor who treated him explained to him that he was never able to walk with his on feet again. The attack had given him serious wound that he never expected to.

And he was paralyzed forever, from his waist down to his feet…

The second wound was he unable to protect Saya and her family. The incident of the Red Shield's headquarters not only made them lost to their enemies, but they also lost Riku-the beloved person among the people. His death had caused a lot of grief to the people who always with him, especially Kai and Saya.

His death also gave a very big impact in his life. It shows that he was a human being after all. He was not powerful creatures that can always win from their enemies. He felt responsible for Riku's death. He felt responsible for that, even after they reform back the Red Shield and successfully defeated Diva and her chevaliers. But still, he felt responsible for everything because his ancestor was the real reason why these two sisters fight with each other.

He leaned against the chair as he looked at the frame on his desk. A picture of his beloved family and friends. He knew, if it not because of Saya and her team, he will never been here, in his place right now. He moved his wheelchair as one of his workers had opened the door to escort him home.

Deep inside of his heart, he hoped that his wound will heal, but it would take a long time. He knew it, but he would wait for it…
