AN: Um so yeah, restarting my X96 because I ended up not liking the idea. Turns out I really do suck at writing AU. Also, my really old cross over KHR and FT fic will be updated as soon as possible.

Dark Shadows:

Chrome Dokuro, had grown up to be a strong, beautiful 23 year old woman. Unfortunately, everyone saw her as the same little, fragile 13 year old girl. No one notices her growth, and she isn't even trusted with field missions. This is a story of a group of people, and a man, who made her feel like she belonged.

Rushing off to a meeting once again, the violet haired woman breathed heavily. She always seemed to be informed at the last minute. Bursting into the conference hall, she received a number of stares, the menacing ones coming from the Varia. Staring coldly back at everyone, she took her usual seat at the far end of the table. These meetings were always such a bite to her, not like any of the briefings ever applied to her. She found her gaze landing on the Varia boss, observing the way a frown was always present on his face, with the occasional grunt or nod. Suddenly his head jerked in her direction, now being able to return he stare of hers. Chrome nonchalantly turned her attention to something else that wasn't...well Xanxus. How embarrassing she thought, to be caught staring like that, and at a man nonetheless. Sighing ever so slightly, she slouched back into her chair, not even caring if one would consider it to be a sign of disrespect. Perhaps, no one would mind of she would just up and leave? After all, she was just an insignificant member, who no one even bothered to acknowledge. Oh, just thinking about it grinds her gears. Out of frustration she pinched the bridge of her nose, an annoyed aura radiating off of her.

Not noticing the that the others were staring at her, she just stayed like that for a while. Eventually she stopped, lifting her head up, only to see the concerned stares of everyone, well except the Varia of course. Chrome stared at them all questioningly, blatantly saying "What? Something wrong? Oh dear, I hope I wasn't supposed to be here." Sarcasm dripping off of her voice. Her tone of voice gave the other guardians a shock, whilst the Varia members just gave smirks of their own. Standing up suddenly, she walked towards the door, and leaves, but not before turning around just to give one last stare and say "I hope your mission briefing goes well, thanks for the empty invite." Little did she know, she was receiving stares of interest from a certain assassin group.

Definitely, most definitely, her attitude had peaked an interest in the Varia.

AN: Yeah, Chrome is going to be OOC in order for this to work out the way I want it to, so I apologize in advance. But obviously later on when there's more development, Xanxus will be the one to bring out her shy side again. Anyways, reviews are beautiful.
