A Good Secret
She hated lying to them, but she had to. If any of Lemonade Mouth were to ask her what she was doing tonight, Stella would say she had an important family thing. It wasn't.
It wasn't even important.
But she wanted to.
Checking the corners of Ray Beech's street for any of her fellow band mates, and finding non, Stella went to the front door she knew all too well.
Knocking softly, tapping her foot impatiently, it was only a matter of seconds before the door opened.
"Hi, Stella!" Ray's mom smiled broadly at her, turning towards the staircase with a yell, "Ray! Stella's here!"
There was a moment when Stella listed all she had done to him today, the horrible words she had said, the names she had called him. Nothing hurt worse than the glimmer of pain in Ray's eyes.
Those eyes appeared in front of her, hey, what're you doing here?" He asked, with a smile just like his mother's.
"I came to apologise for all the crap we put you through today." Stella began to apologise.
"Don't apologise, Estelle." His eyebrows raised.
Stella smirked, knowing he knew she hated that name, saying it as his own form of payback. "But I was horrible to you, Raymond." He flinched, she carried on, "I saw the look on your face in the gym, I really am sorry. Maybe I should just tell the ba-"
Her words were cut off with something far more sweeter. The tender lips of Ray landing on her own. Tucking a piece of Stella's hair behind her ear, he smiled into the kiss, which she returned.
"Why would you want to go and tell them for?" He asked, pulling away, "even you admitted you liked keeping one secret from them. Like you were doing something terrible."
Stella gave a small laugh, "true."
"Ray! Dinner's done! Is Stella staying?" His mom shouted through the house.
Ray looked to Stella with a questioning look on his face, "sure I am." Stella Answered, walking through the door and giving Ray another soft peck on the lips, "Definitely a good secret."
