Prologue
Underworld Clash
The helm of my dark coat blew in the wind as the blow threw me away. I began to pant, feeling my sword becoming sluggish. My opponent wasn't fairing much better, sweat pouring down his face.
I raised the cracked blade parallel to the floor, behind my body and shoulder height. The blade began to glow red. My other sword was resting on my belt, ready to be drawn.
"This won't change what's happening." I gritted my teeth, feeling the energy building up, ready to be unleashed at my discretion. "Do you know what you'd be unleashing upon the world by ejecting her Fluctlight?"
"Yes. But I've already lost more than what the reward is worth." Pain laced his voice. He raised the dull black sword in a much smoother motion than I had. His blade glowed with a red hue, making us perfectly mirrored.
The blue handle suddenly transformed, becoming blood red and a blade extending from the cross guard. He raised the two swords with ease, contrasting to the last time I saw him use them.
"This is for Alice."
"This is for Kimiko."
We both unleashed the skill at the same time. We launched at each other with the intent to kill.
The fear of losing something is a delicious emotion to bear witness to. The way your eyes lit up in anger is just divine. One day, I'll take everything you hold dear.
Hello everyone, and welcome to my crossover of Sword Art Online and my own series, The Land Beyond Reality.
Apologies for the really short Prologue, but it is supposed to be a short insight into the series. Chapter 1 is where I'm going to start introducing the main character, where he starts, and begin to lay out his journey. I'm not going to reveal a lot about my series, as you need to know very little about it, which I will reveal during the story. It has the same premise as SAO, trapped in a virtual world, die in the game you die in real life etc.
This will take place during Alicization. The main character's journey begins just before Kirito's by about a week in Underworld, which is really like 5 minutes in the real world. No, this isn't a rehash of Alicization. I'm going to use it as a reference point at times as to where the events fall in line, but eventually, the story will take a completely different course, but that shouldn't matter as we won't be following Kirito.
Don't expect a standard upload schedule. Chapter 1 hasn't even been started yet. Fatal Bullet Rewrite is still my priority after all.
