Hello, I did some looking up and realized that there is no crossover between Akame Ga Kill! and Fire Emblem. I figured why not do one.
In this crossover, Tatsumi has two loves: Akame and Mine. Before you ask, check volume one for a picture with Tatsumi and the two girls.
It starts off a Manga Chapter 76, right when Esdeath unleashed Russia winter on the revolution army. Check it.
Now the only thing keeping you from reading the story is a disclaimer: I don't own any of the above, the characters rightfully go to their respective owners.
Enjoy!
As Tatsumi laid bleeding, Akame rushed to his chest.
"Tatsumi hang in there!" she cried
When she placed a hand on his dragon chest, she heard a primal growl. She looked up and leaped from Tatsumi as he rose from his back.
She leaped again in time to avoid a fist smashing into the ground. Realization hit her like a rampaging danger beast.
Incursio has taken control.
Akame couldn't move as Tatsumi's claw rushed at her.
It stopped.
"...Kill...me…"
Akame heard Tatsumi speak from his dragon-turned body. She couldn't believe what she is hearing. Did he forget his promise?
"My… consciousness…" he gasped out, his body struggling. "Is already… fading… away… I can't… stop it… any longer…"
"You… promised… me… didn't you…"
Akame stood there in despair.
"Hurry…"
She looked down and gritted her teeth.
"Yes…" she choked. "I promised."
Stepping forward, she gripped the one-cut killer and drew it.
"Very well," she said with sorrow. "I shall kill you."
She stabbed his chest without hesitation. The poison markings made its way all over his body. Akame turned and walked away.
Again, she had thrust her blade into the body of a friend.
As she went to continue her battle with Esdeath, she didn't notice the circle of light surrounding his body.
It wasn't until after her battle that she noticed that Tatsumi had disappeared.
Tatsumi woke up in an unfamiliar place. He got up and surveyed his surroundings. Everywhere, rocks and islands floated among the blue sky. The island he stood upon is beautiful despite the crumbled buildings that littered it. From the edge, he saw islands below him without end.
"Where am I?"
He remembered Akame stabbing him with Murasame.
"Is this the afterlife?" he asked himself.
"No, this is the great kingdom of Valla."
Tatsumi turned to find, face to face, a man standing with him in the darkness. He wore a white robe with blue and gold accents. The hood covered the top of his face. Two locks of blue hair hanging down his sides.
As Tatsumi got into a defensive stance, he noticed something. His hands no longer have a dragon-like appearance when Incursio fused with him. Looking at both his hands, he patted his body. He could feel the softness of human skin.
He is human again.
"H-how...I thought that-"
"I undid the fusion between you and your weapon," The man answered with reverb in his voice. He held Incursio's key to him, sheathed. "As for the poison, I removed every trace of it from your body."
"You did?" Tatsumi asked, taking back his Teigu. "I am thankful but I am confused. Why have you brought me here? Why couldn't you have healed me back there?"
Then he realized his nudity.
"AAAH!" Tatsumi said covering himself.
"Sorry! Let me take care of that," Anankos hurriedly extends his harm. In a flash, Tatsumi is wearing his regular attire. He wore a white jacket over a slim purple hoodie and a black base layer shirt with black jeans.
"Forgive me," the man apologized. "I was drained from undoing the fusion I neglect to give you clothing.
"Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Anankos, and I need help saving my kingdom."
"Your kingdom?" Tatsumi asked. "Are you a King? What happened here? Why is everything in ruin?"
"To properly answer your question," Anankos said. "I must first tell you a story about a dragon."
"A dragon? Like Tyrant?"
"I assume that's the name of the dragon I sense within your sword. Yes, a dragon that helped build this kingdom. A dragon that loved humans so much that he gave them knowledge and longevity. He even chose to live among them, keeping a close relationship with a great line of kings. But hundreds of years ago, the dragon realized something terrible."
"What happened?" Tatsumi asked. He didn't like where the story's going.
"His ancient animal instincts were beginning to invade his thoughts. Though he adored this kingdom, he also felt an intense desire to destroy it. Each day, those feelings grew stronger, and his control over them began to wane. He knew one day those urges will drive him mad, and the thought terrorized him."
"What did he do?"
"He gave an ancient and powerful song to the Vallite king of the time. Singing this song weakened the power and destructive urges of the dragon. However…"
"It didn't work?" Tatsumi asked.
"No. Its power can only be unlocked by those who shared the king's ancient blood. Though that alone isn't enough, as a fragment of his Dragonstone is required. To ensure the safety of the world, the dragon increased his blessings of power over time. He bestowed this gift upon each generation of the family, and them alone. He hoped that one day when the time came, they might be able to stop him. Sadly, the final king in that royal line was killed before he could sing the song."
"Wait," Tatsumi said. "Does that mean that the dragon…"
"Yes," Anankos replied with despair. "It all started with a single act of rage. The dragon couldn't contain himself and obliterated an entire forest. No one was killed, thank the fates, but humans still cursed the dragon for the destruction. Believing that he had grown dangerous and murderous, they tried to kill him."
"They made thing worse didn't they?" Tatsumi said with dread and anger mixed.
"Yes, and that was when the dragon lost himself to a misfortunate thought: humans are loathsome things."
"I somewhat agree with him," Tatsumi muttered under his breath. He remembered the corruption of the empire and the state that it became resulting from it.
"I do as well," Anankos said, surprising Tatsumi. "Don't worry, I have seen the corruption you and your people suffered. I understand your feelings."
"No, you don't," Tatsumi said darkly, surprising Anankos. "I may have killed people who deserved it, but murder is still murder. No matter how just the cause, I will be executed for my sins."
"You believe that your death will absolve you from your sins?" Anankos asked, making Tatsumi look up at him. "Remember this Tatsumi: your choices are a reflection of who you are. The choices of the people you killed are what lead them to that outcome. Even now, I still believe that you can find happiness."
"What makes you think that?" Tatsumi asked.
"Perhaps the rest of the story will help," Anankos said. "The dragon retreated into isolation, locking himself in a remote mountain cave. He spent his days detesting mankind and cursing their very existence."
"How was that supposed to convince me?"
"Because the royal family continued to believe in the dragon."
"What?"
"The king and his family continue to visit him in his isolation and tried to salvage his mind. They tried explaining everything to the people, but it was of no use."
"They continued to believe in him despite his madness?" Tatsumi asked in disbelief.
"Yes, a lot of good it did in the end," Anankos said with sadness. "The dragon wasn't strong enough to believe in humans anymore. In a moment of weakness, he attacked his one true friend."
"Oh man…" Tatsumi gasped.
"Killing his friend, the king, was the last straw. Madness overcame him, and he began to destroy the kingdom he once loved. But before this, in a final moment of clarity and desperation, he tore out his soul."
"He tore out his soul!" Tatsumi yelled incredulously. "Why did he do that?"
"So that what's left of the mind of the dragon can still live. It took on the form of a human and began to think and act on its own. It why I am standing before you now."
"Wait! You're the…"
"Yes," Anankos confirmed. "I am the dragon who made this land flourish and perish. The desolation you see is my fault for not being able to suppress my rage. I grew to detest even the people I cared for the most and who cared for me. I could not believe the king when he said he trusted me still. Everything that happened is because I was weak. And now my entire kingdom is…"
"Anankos…" Tatsumi said with sympathy for the dragon.
"I'm sorry," Anankos said, composing himself. "Now is not the time for sorrow, I must finish telling the story. After breaking free of my former body, I lost all my memories. I wandered aimlessly for an indeterminable amount of time, lost in shadows. The one who saved me was the Vallite queen's younger sister, Mikoto. Over time, she and I fell in love. Eventually, she gave birth to our child."
"You have a child!?"
"Yes," Anankos said with a sad smile. "But he has never known me, nor has he called me his father."
His expression darkened.
"Just before Valla fell to ruin, I regained my memories. I told Mikoto everything and did all I could to help her escape this kingdom. She took our son and left, along with her sister, Arete, and her sister's little girl."
He became sad again. "That was the last time I saw him… still a tiny, helpless babe. He can't possibly remember me."
"Why wouldn't he?" Tatsumi asked.
"I asked Mikoto to never speak of me to him."
"Why?"
"Consider what knowledge like that could do to a child's mind," Anankos said. "Knowing your father is to blame for destroying an entire kingdom… I didn't want to burden him with the sins of my past."
"Do you ever regret not seeing him?" Tatsumi asked.
"I would be lying if I didn't wish for that every day. But in this world, some truths are better left unspoken."
"Why?"
"I was going to tell you this, but there is a curse on this land."
"What curse?"
"If you speak to anyone about Valla to the outside world, you will vanish like dust in the wind."
"Why is there such a curse?"
"Because my dragon self is waging war between two countries," Anankos said. "He's pitting them against each other so they would destroy each other."
"WHAT!" Tatsumi shouted enraged.
"I fear we are getting off topic again," Anankos said. "When I helped those four escape, the dragon sensed my presence. For years, it has only been good fortune that enabled me to avoid his wrath. When my powers of foresight returned, I saw distant worlds…"
"One where brave warriors defeated a fell dragon. Then I saw another world where despite adversity, people stood against a corrupt empire and won."
"It gave me hope. I decided to try bringing these warriors to my world."
"Is that why you brought me here?" Tatsumi asked.
"Yes, I have summoned you because I need you. As I said before, I saw your actions and your power. It will serve greatly in the task I am requesting of you."
Then, to Tatsumi's surprise, he prostrated himself.
"Please," he begged. "I beg that you help me."
Tatsumi looked at him as thoughts churned in his head. He wanted more than anything to return to his world, to let his comrades in Night Raid that he's still alive. But could he leave a man begging for help? A man who hasn't seen his child in years?
He looked up with a sad smile at the sky.
Mine...Akame... you're going to have to wait for a little longer.
"Alright."
Anankos looked up. "What?"
"I will do it. I accept the task that you are giving me."
"R-really?" Anankos gets up. "T-thank you!"
"On one condition," Tatsumi said. "You have god-like powers, correct?"
"Yes."
"Can you raise the dead?"
The man's expression turned grim. "I'm sorry, but I can't."
Was worth a try. "Well, could you make sure my comrades live in my world?"
"I can do that," Anankos nodded. "I swear by the fates that I will ensure your comrade's survival."
"Thank you," Tatsumi said. "Now let us hear this request."
Anankos was about to say something when they tensed up. Tatsumi's eyes narrowed as he turned and drew Incursio. In front of him, stood several soldiers, semi-transparent with a violet aura surrounding them. Each has the eyes of the dead.
"Friends of yours?" Tatsumi asked rhetorically.
"No," Anankos replied. "These are soldiers of Valla. Anankos must have sent them here. Damn it!"
"Don't worry, I got this!"
Tatsumi held Incursio in front of him, blade face down. He remembered Bulat's words as he activated his Teigu.
Let your soul rage and roar, Tatsumi!
"INCURSIOOOOOOOO!"
Behind him, the dragon Tyrant appeared, roaring. In a flash of red, Tatsumi stood wearing the armor. Its appearance is still the same when he took down Shikoutazer, down to the tail and wings. His spear, Neuntote, remained the same.
With a roar, he charged at the Vallite soldiers. He ran one through with Neuntote, splitting his body into four pieces. Before the rest of them could act, Tatsumi swung Neuntote several times with the speed and strength Incursio provided. Like a knife through warm butter, it cut their bodies into pieces.
But as they fell to the ground, they disintegrated and vanished. There's no trace of the bodies after that.
"Huh?"
"Tatsumi!"
Tatsumi turned and saw Anankos surrounded by four Vallite soldiers. He rushed over, picked him up and flew off in a different direction. Two of the pegasus riders raced after him.
"Do those horses have wings?!" Tatsumi shouted.
"Those are pegasi!" Anankos shouted over the wind. "I assume you don't have those in your world."
"There are Air Mantas! But I doubt that's relevant right now! We need to lose them!"
"We're wasting time! I need to get you outside of Valla!"
"What about you!?" Tatsumi shouted.
"I'll be fine! You need to find my son and help him on his quest! Head to Hoshido, Queen Mikoto will be happy to offer you shelter! The others will fill you in on the rest when they find you!"
"Others!? What do you mean!" Tatsumi shouted.
"No time! I'm sending you now!"
As the magic circles gathered, Anankos said one last thing.
"One more thing! Look for a chest!"
Tatsumi vanished, and Anankos fell to land.
Tatsumi groaned and got up from the ground. He is no longer wearing Incursio, it returned to its sealed state. Looking around, he found himself in a bamboo forest.
He picked it off the ground and returned it to its scabbard on his back.
"Damn," Tatsumi cursed. "Looks like I'm lost."
Looking around, he spotted the chest Anankos told him to find. He walked over to it and tried to open it.
Locked.
Looks like he forgot to give me a key.
He unsheathed Incursio and used the pommel like a hammer. It broke the lock, allowing him to open the chest. Inside was some orb and a note.
This is a Heart Seal.
It can change and give you power depending on who you are inside.
Your identity must be secret.
This will help.
May the fates be with you.
Tatsumi reread the note several times before ripping it up and tossing it over his back. He picked up the Heart Seal. It felt cold in his hands.
"How am I supposed to use this?" Tatsumi asked himself as he turned from the chest. He kept gazing at the seal as he walked through the forest.
Suddenly the seal started glowing. Tatsumi yelped and tossed it into the air, which must have been what it wanted him to do. It flashed, and a pillar of light shot down on him. When it cleared, his attire changed.
Only five words that he could describe how he is feeling.
"WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED!?"
With that, that's chapter one.
I'm currently accepting requests on what Tatsumi's class is going to be. So if anyone reading this has some recommendations, I'm accepting.
Also, I'm planning on giving the characters of Fire Emblem Fates Imperial arms. I would like help in seeing who is compatible with which. Except for Ryoma, Xander, Leo, Takumi, and Corrin. They already have their divine weapons.
Next time, We jump ahead in time to see Corrin getting ready to leave the castle. But first, he has to pass Xander's test. Three guesses on who else is going to be there.
Akame Ga Emblem!: Kill the Black Kingdom.
