"Please, Haru!"

"No."

"Why not?!"

"Because."

"Because why?"

"I can't wear my swimsuit."

Sighing, Makoto concedes, "Fine. You can wear your swimsuit UNDERNEATH your fancy suit, okay?"

"Why underneath?"

"BECAUSE, Haru, this is a FORMAL event!"

"I don't want to go."

"AUGH." Makoto flops into the closest chair, burying his face in his hands. The annual meeting of all Iwatobi City swim clubs is today, and Haru refuses to go." I would just take Gou, if I could, but she and Rin have a family thing all weekend….So, as Vice Captain, I NEED you go to with me!"

"Take Rei. This is his kind of thing anyway."

"No, Haru! This is your responsibility!….Besides…they have a pool." Makoto grins hopefully.

Raising a brow, Haru's gaze flutters toward his best friend and he mutters, "What time again?"

"Haruuuu did you HAVE to strip in the middle of the meal?!"

"You said I could swim in their pool."

"Yes, AFTER dinner, and AFTER all your food had settled! I always told you you'd get stomach cramps one day!"

"I didn't get stomach cramps."

"Oh, well then WHY did I have to jump into the pool, in my dress shirt and nice pants, to pull you out while you were gripping your stomach?"

"I was practicing my turtle float."

Groaning, a soaking wet Makoto continued to plod home, his arms loaded with his mostly dry suit coat and tie.

"Whatever the case, I'm just glad Mr. Yamakashi wasn't too annoyed with us….He seemed rather impressed by your form, actually." Makoto grinned sweetly. A breeze danced threw the air around them, and Makoto shivered and started when a sneeze erupted out of Haru. "And, just because it's warm during the day doesn't mean that the night won't be cold." Unfolding his coat, Makoto draped the jacket around his friend's shoulders and sighed. "Thankfully the pool was heated."

"Mmm." Haru grunted lightly, gazing up at the full moon with a light blush on his cheeks as Makoto interlaced their fingers and led him home.
