Hey! I'm back! This is just a oneshot I came up with, so enjoy!

Dino sat on his king sized bed with his legs crossed., his laptop in front of him and Kyoya's head in his lap. It was 6am and Dino was looking for more information on an enemy mafia family for his mission. He hadn't told Kyoya about it yet, and he was to leave in only half an hour. He decided now was the perfect time to tell him.

"Kyoya, I have to go on a really important mission in half an hour."

Hibari looked up at him with laziness in his eyes and frowned.

"How long until you'll be back?"

Dino frowned down at his lover and looked away from his beautiful eyes.

"Well….. If it goes as planned, about three months…."

Hibari stared up at his lover and whispered

"What if it goes unplanned?"

"Well… you see, if it doesn't go as planned, I wont come back…"

Hibari's frown deepened and tears began to gather in his eyes, but he batted the unwanted water away with quick blinks.

"But, it will go as planned, right?"

"We hope so…."

"Why can't they send another herbivore? Why do they have to send my omnivore?"

"Because, my carnivore, the mission requires someone with strong sky flames."

"Can't they send Sawada?"

"No, because, this mission was assigned by the Cavallone."

"I don't care, I want my omnivore to stay here."

"I want to stay here with you too, but I need to take care of my family."

"But, Dino, what will I do if you don't come back?"

"I don't know, but promise me one thing. Promise me that if I don't come back, you won't cry."

Hibari looked at him with worried eyes.

"I promise that I won't cry if you don't come back."

"Good. Now Kyoya, can you move so I can go get ready?"

"No."

Hibari whispered before clutching Dino's shirt in his hand. Dino looked down at him with loving eyes and hugged him quickly before trying to back out from under his lover. Hibari clutched tighter. Dino sighed in defeat and started to stroke Hibari's hair, until the man fell asleep 10 minutes afterwards. Dino got out from under him, without waking the skylark. He got his already packed bag and kissed Hibari's forehead before whispering

"I'll do my best to come back, my carnivore"

-A year later-

Dino finally came back after that night. Though, he wasn't in living form. He was just there in spirit. He watched over Kyoya and realized that Hibari remained loyal to his promise. He leaned down and hugged his lover, before kissing his forehead.

"Thank you, my carnivore"
