Disclaimer: I do not own these characters. I'm just taking them out for playtime and afterwards putting them respectfully back where they belong (more's the pity. But lifes not a wish-factory).

The case was closed. That was probably it. Their latest case, which had had Sherlock running around London and crossdressing (no, John had definitely not liked that at all) had been solved the day before and now Sherlock's oh-so-genius-brain was bored.

John just wanted to read the paper and drink his tea but Sherlock "high funktioning sociopath do your research" hadn't stopped staring at him for the last ten minutes. John wondered if he had blinked at all all that time.

Finally John put down his paper, clasped his mug in both hands and looked expectantly at Sherlock. Sherlock sighed a long-suffering sigh and John almost asked him what was wrong. But before he could so much as open his mouth Sherlock began the conversation with "How do you feel about marriage, John?". He shrugged.

"Is this because of what Donovan said?" he asked in favour of answering the question. But Sherlock just kept on watching him. "Well, I guess, if you look at it from the outside it might not be too different from what we're doing here." he shrugged again. "Why?" Sherlock contemplated what he had said, then inquired "What are your plans for next Saturday?".

"Sherlock!" John exclaimed, then shook his head and huffed a laugh. "Don't you think it's a little early for that?" "Well according to what you just said, it would seem I'm rather a little late in asking." Sherlock replied mildly. "John, we've been living together for seven years, four weeks and two days. We haven't killed each other yet, so I think we'll manage not to do so in the future. And also, Mummy likes you." he finished. John rolled his eyes and sighed while smiling. "Well if you insist." he remarked with a sparkle in his eyes (John is quite pleased by the question. He would have asked himself, but there never seems to be any time). Sherlock smirked and winked at John then asked for another cup of tea.

They go about their morning routine and day without anything remarkable happening, though Sherlock doesn't once complain about not having a current case.

Authors Note: I haven't been here in quite a while. Found this in a pile of stuff from ages ago and thought I'd post it because I actually quite liked it and hoped you might to. I'd like to apologise for any language or grammar mistakes I made. I'm not a native speaker and I typed this on my phone with stupid autocorrect.

I wish you all a lovely day and I hope Sherlock and John aren't too ooc... :)

Lots of Love,
