The strange
The sky was filled with smog from the building that was on fire. I continued walking in the city, seeing the empty streets with burned tree that filled the street's with ash. Every way I turn on, there is cars in every side walk, with rising smoke. When I continued walking on the streets, a person walk out from nowhere. Stopped me from walking, he saw me and started to shout at me
"Thank you god I thought I was a goner!" It made me want to ignore the stranger but he continued to talk to me. "So where are you off, buddy? The streets are dangerous. You should know that!?" I just stare at the stranger. "Where are my manners? My name is Rick and what's your name, boy." I just stare at the stranger I couldn't move my mouth. "What wrong boy, don't you have a name." Rick laughs at his joke and that's when I spoke
"I do have a name."
"Then tell me your name boy and I think we can be best friends," Rick said with a grin "why should I tell you my name and what if I don't what to be friends."
Rick said. "Boy look around there no one here it just you and me. So boy tell me your name."
Rick's green eyes look angry but a deep breath and sigh. "You know what, you don't have to tell me your name and look I get it that you are shy and all, but in some point you have to tell people your name."
"I know that, let's just stop talking about it, ok." I said, "Alright boy, I'll drop it. So where are you going I mean I'm just looking for people that are alive?" Rick said "I'm not sure where I'm going?" I said, but I'm still not sure where I should go. When I saw Rick's face he was smiling, "I think me and you should be partners, and find more people and live underground and be safe." I looked at him in a shock face I didn't know what he was talking about.
"What are you talking about? Why live underground and be safe from what?" I said, he looked at me in a dumb face. "You don't know what happen here? Have you seen the news or heard scramming from your neighbored house?" I just looked at him "Ok, so you don't know. Hmm ok, I'm just going to tell you. So it happen with people getting sick. And when people got sick people started to change. When that happen people started to bite each other and left people to kill each other, so that why this place look like hell, it's just chaos here!"
I looked at him like he was crazy and insane. "Look, it see that you don't know what happen in the weeks? So you think I'm crazy. But's it's the truth." "Nothing you say is not true, nothing hap…" "WHAT I'M TELLING YOU IS THE TRUTH LOOK AROUND!" I was cut off when Rick cut me off when he shout to me. But is it true, is what he was saying is true. "Look you can be alone if you want, I'm just going to go now." "Joseph?" I said
"What?" Rick said "I'm name is Joseph. If you're telling the truth then maybe we should stay together." "Ok Joseph, but what made you believe in me?" saying in a curious voices "well I don't remember anything, but we can be in partners right?" Joseph said "Yeah we can. So we can watch each other back's and stay alive. Look I'm going to a place not far here, so we can started walking here. Sound's good." Rick finished on what he was saying and held out his hand.
I held my hand and shook his hand in strong grip. After shaking hands we walk down street where rick said there is a place not far. "So Joseph, why can't you remember? Did you got hit by car?" Rick said while laughing at his joke. But somehow I don't remember, but what I remember is name nothing else. But in my head a person yelling my name.
