Gabrielle set by the fire crying softly It had been two months since Xena's death But Gabrielle couldn't find the strength to get on with her life She hadn't even gone to Egypt as Xena had wanted her to She went back to Greece To what she knew and to be closer to her memories of her beloved Xena didn't come to her anymore She had a fight with Xena shortly after she returned to Greece Xena tried to tell her once more why she had chosen to stay dead That even in death she was still with her that they would still be together That there connection and love could withstand this separation But Xena words filled her with hurt and anger She told Xena to leave her in peace and let her grieve and be one with her pain As she set looking into the fire she couldn't help remembering Xena's final words to her about how this was for the greater good and this was what she must do How could this be for the greater good if your gone Xena She screamed falling into soft sobs on her furs She hadn't slept she hadn't Eaton she was just a mess The sun was coming up and she knew she must try to sleep even if she wasn't traveling at the moment she wanted to go fishing the next day and do some writing her life had been stagnant since the death of her soulmate She laid her head on her deerskins gazing up at the full moon Whispering softly Oh Xena why aren't you here
