There are ten Spirits who are the counterparts of ten dragons.
Aguni, of Fire.
LoboWolf, of Light.
Korikakuma, of Ice.
Kaze, of Wind or Sky.
Kabuteri, of Thunder and Lightning.
Gigas, of Earth.
Arbor, of Wood.
Rana, of Water.
Mercury, of Steel.
And Lowee, of Darkness.
Six of these Spirits have children that they care for, chosen and taken when they were simply no more than babies.
The first, of Flame, Takuya.
The second, of Light, Koji.
The third, of Ice, Tomoki 'Tommy'.
The fourth, of Sky, Izumi 'Zoe'.
The fifth, of Storm, Junpei 'JP'.
And the sixth, of the purest darkness, Kouichi.
This all began for them a year before 7-7-777, the day the Dragons, and the Spirits, disappeared.
