when we finally meet
1. Taki 1
I didn't realise… your name
or the time from which you came
till it was gone, memories
unravelling
like a hair-ribbon in the breeze…
I wonder why
there's a ribbon around my wrist;
I'm a guy
and the girl I like's a dream
out of reach.
I didn't know
I'd find you and lose you
and, again, find you
like a recurring dream that never quite bled
into these waking times
Until I passed you in the streets
like a shadow
the corner of my eyes just caught
Until I'm wrought
in the tendril tale it's weaved
out of sight.
