Videl sat Gohan and Goten's laundry baskets in front of their bedroom door. It was about one in the morning and the boys had been asleep for a good couple of hours. Goku and Chi-Chi were on their second honeymoon, leaving Videl, Gohan, and Goten home alone. Videl took her own laundry basket into her room without turning on the light. She managed to set the basket down by her dresser and got to her bed without bumping into anything.

Videl settled into bed and closed her eyes. She was tired. She had cooked the day's meals, alone, and she cleaned and did the laundry. Chi-Chi was her hero. Videl couldn't grasp how Chi-Chi could do that every day. An arm settled onto Videl's waist. Her eyes shot open and she grabbed the arm, flipping the arm's owner into her bookshelf, kicking who she assumed was a man where it counted. The body crumpled under an avalanche of books, groaning.

"Gohan!" Videl called.

"What?" asked the crumpled body.

"Gohan?" Videl asked, turning on her bedside lamp.

"Yeah. You know Videl, you kick harder than ever."

"Well I wouldn't have if you had told me you were there!" yelled Videl.

Gohan stood and started putting books back.

"You don't need to yell." He mumbled.

"Whas goin on?" Goten asked, standing at Videl's now open doorway.

"I uh, tried to get a book and I-"

"Gohan, I'm not stupid. Just be sure to use protection." Goten said, heading back to bed.

"You hang around Trunks way too much! Besides, we weren't going to do that!"

"Whatever!"

Gohan closed Videl's door.

"So can I sleep in here, or are you going to throw me at the bookshelf again?"

"You can sleep in here, but if you try anything, you'll be out the window instead of being thrown at the bookshelf." Videl said, turning out her lamp.
