"We haven't been properly introduced I'm Riley." He said to Emily but in all reality she wasn't paying any attention to Riley right now Emily was more preoccupied with the thoughts in her own head and how she could straighten them out. Today wasn't a day that Emily Appleton would soon forget. Not only did they all find the lost city of Cibola but she had finally told Patrick about her feelings for him. All in all he had seemed to take the shocking news very well on the outside but Emily wasn't sure if he was taking it as well on the inside. As they exited the cave Emily noticed Patrick was talking to Ben so she made her way over and stood next to Patrick.
"Patrick, can I talk to you for a minute."
"Okay Em, son." and with that Ben walked away to talk with Abigail. "Em, Is anything wrong?"
"Patrick I wanted to know, Do you love me?"
"Of course I do. Didn't you hear me earlier."
"Yes I heard you but I thought, well I thought maybe you had just said that to make me happy."
"Emily have I ever lied to you?"
"Not usually but you've had your moments."
"Oh well forget them because right now I'm telling you the truth. I love you Emily, that's no lie."
"Are you sure?"
"I've never been more sure in my life." And with that Patrick leaned over and kissed Emily for the second time that day.
