Ooo, Devon

Won't go to heaven

She's just another lost soul

About to be mine again

Leave her

We will receive her

It is beyond your control

Will you ever meet again

Colonel Roy Mustang had his eyes wide open. All he could see was white. Pure, white nothingness. Except it wasn't nothingness. He was in some world. It wasn't Earth. He wasn't in Amestris anymore, but it was some world. The wet tears that had been streaming down his cheeks were now drying. Riza died. Why did she die? He wished that he was dead. Gone. Absolute nothingness, like this room.

But then, Roy observed his surroundings. Maybe this was heaven. He was going to meet Riza in heaven. God had struck him down in his house, just to make him happy.

A faint smiled appeared on his face. He would actually be with Riza. He would get to see, feel, and hear her again. The sweet, yet serious tone in her voice…that was what Roy missed most.

Devon, no longer living
Who had been rendered unwhole as a little child
She was taken and then forsaken
You will remember it all, let it blow your mind again

Roy's smile had quickly faded like a rainbow when he saw the figure in front of him. The outline of the figure was a little fuzzy, but it turned out to be…just like him. Not his face or anything. It was a white figure. The figure smiled.

"Roy Mustang," he said in a raspy voice. "You have come here. I suppose that you yearn to see your precious…oh, what was her name again? Rita?"

"Riza," Roy growled, with a hint of sadness in his voice. "Her name is Riza."

The figure laughed and pointed at Roy.

"You are so in love! It is just so amusing how easily humans get attached to things. Now, I have a question for you. Would you like to see her again?"

Roy froze. See Riza? Again? Well, he figured he was already dead, but what did this seemingly-immortal being have in store?

Devon lies beyond this portal
Take the word of one immortal

Give your soul to me for eternity
Release your life to begin another time with her
End your grief with me, there's another way

"What's the catch?" Roy asked. Once again, the being laughed.

"No catch. Just turn around and look for yourself."

Roy carefully turned his body around to see a large, intricate black door. It looked like his way to the gallows.

"She is just beyond this portal," the voice said behind him. "Take my word for it. All you have to do is give your soul to me."

Roy was not haste about this decision. He nodded, without facing the thing.

A slight, devious chuckle was heard behind him. "Good. Now, just take your place inside the fire with her, Flame Alchemist!"

The doors creaked open. Roy was pulled in by several shadows. The last thing you ever heard were his painful, grotesque screams.
