"Seni sevoyorum, Heracles."
Turning his nose up at the Turk's words, said Greek kept his eyes fixed on the blue Mediterranean Sea they sat before. "You don't mean that... You can't, and I can't believe it."
A bit stricken by his lover openly branding him as a heretic, Sadiq's voice grew softer. "Of course /i do, Heracles. We put aside our differences and made love-"
"Shut up!" The Greek yelled, caught up in a very rare moment of anger. "The Holy Book of my people-" Sadiq rolled his eyes behind his white mask, "Says that any man who lies with another man will burn in the fiery flames of the pits of Hell for their eternal death! I shouldn't have let you seduce me that way..." he hid his face in his hands.
Albeit hesitantly, the darker skinned man reached out to lay a hand on the other's shoulder, pouting when Heracles jerked away from his touch. "You were so in love, Hera." he whispered. "I was so in love. If two people, no matter whom, fall in love, they should make love out of it."
"I was not in love with you, Sadiq!" soft sobs wracked Heracles' body. "It was stupid and lustful! Just leave me alone..." he sank back into his timid quietness, curling up into a ball on his plush patio chair.
Sitting on the very edge of his chair to be as close to Heracles as possible, Sadiq sighed. "Hera... I want you to tell me what you truly want, not what your religion says. If you wish me to leave, I will, but if you want me to stay and nurture you as your lover, I will. It is your choice, Heracles." he stood, drifting over to the railing of the elevated porch, silently watching the sun set over the blue waters.
"...S-Sadiq?"
A glance over his shoulder. "Yes, my lovely Greek?"
"Love me..."
A/N: Just a random ficlet that popped into my head late one night. It stemmed from the rather endearing idea that, even though Heracles doesn't particularly like Sadiq, he'd fall unwittingly, and infallibly in love with him~
Weird, I know.
